Anniversary Dinner

Excellent experience! Food was great. As was the staff. Perfect sunset evening. We'll be back on our next visit to the area.

While the view from this restaurant is very nice, looking down upon Elmira, the service while I was there was lacking. I was seated quickly, but didn't receive my drink order until approximately 20 minutes later. The meal was a full hr after arrival, and at no time did a waiter/waitress return to check on the meal. The food itself... More

I had the absolute pleasure of dining here the other evening on the last night of my vacation traveling around the Finger Lakes. It was above and beyond what I had expected. It is a restaurant that you must see in person to truly understand how special it is and to be part of their warm hospitality. Let’s start with... More

I was there on July 11th for a birthday dinner and that visit may well have been one of my favorite restaurant experiences so far. We were promptly seated by a very sweet hostess and our wait staff came over right away and introduced themselves and brought us menus and the wine list. I was impressed that we not only... More

Attracted to this restaurant by good reviews. Not sure why. Service was spotty at best. They kept changing servers and it was difficult to get the attention of anyone. The menu was limited and the food quality was mediocre. The view was as described. Restaurant seemed to be surviving by their past reputation. Decor was early 50's. Not recommended and... More

Had a holiday dinner here on July 3 with 92-year-old mother and five others. We were welcomed and seated promptly in the rather cavernous dining room. The waitress told us as soon as she came for the drink orders that one of the night's specials was limited. Because of this, we were able to ask the kitchen to "hold" three... More

A most picturesque location. On a hill with, based on the season, outstanding views. The menu and food are generally good. This restaurant also does have at least occasional regular entertainment which adds to the total experience.

After reading several reviews on Trip Advisor we decided to go to this lovely place. When we got there we were anticipating a delightful dinner since the place was packed on a Wednesday night. Our first mistake was not sitting outside where the view over the valley was great. So I blame us for that one. Our server was very... More

Stopped in at the Hill Top because my wife heard it had such great food. One would think with the average price of a meal being over $22.00, that it would be more of a fine dining establishment. The waiters/waitresses wear green T-shirts that say Hill Top Inn, and one server wore Carhart pants. The waitress over poured my beer... More

We are very sorry you didn't enjoy your experience here at Hill Top Inn. As the owner, I did stop by to check on your meals and did replace the au jus for you. A true au jus does use pan drippings as a base which is what we did serve you originally. As you did not prefer that, I... More

We got married at Hill Top and have many fond memories of that beautiful day. When we're in town, we make sure to go back! A few weeks ago we went back to celebrate our 7th anniversary and it was still as delicious and memorable as always. We had the horseradish Salmon and Lamb Chops with panzanella salad... all fresh...
