Love the thai food from here. Fried fish with mango salad was amazing! The price was decent. I would definitely go there again.

Although the restaurant is small and looks a bit dingy, I was overwhelmed by the food here. The flavors are truly amazing and I left completely satisfied. This is our go-to Thai restaurant. We've tried other area Thai restaurants and none can compare.

The Whitney ave location is the original place. A few blocks away on Dongan Ave off Broadway is Chao Thai Too where I found the food to be better although still a small restaurant, it does offer more seats than the Whitney ave spot. Check out my review for Chao Thai Too. I've had take out and dine in from... More

I heard great things about this restaurant and read a lot of fantastic reviews as well, so I couldn't wait to eat there. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. We ordered the fish balls and shrimp rolls for appetizers, and the Pad Kee Mao and Pad Kra Pow as our entrees. While they all had great flavors, what we consistently found was... More

My wife and I go here at least once a month for the most authentic Thai food in NYC. My wife lived in Thailand for four years and we went there for a month on our honeymoon. We have been to many Thai food places in NYC and most disappoint. This is one place where the food is good and... More

We came here after reading its glowing food rating on Zagats. As expected we had to wait outside for one of the very few tables to become free. For us the Zagat rating was too high, the food is certainly not poor, more average to good in our opinion.

Chao Thai is one of Elmhurst’s food treasures. It’s the kind of place that really makes Queens famous for having some of the best ethnic eats in New York City. This tiny eatery couldn’t be more than 200 sq. ft, but they sure have packed in some flavor into that small space. Chao Thai serves up the kind of authentic food you... More

We were recommended this place by a kind Thai waitress at another joint, and looked forward to the Elmhurst journey to check this out last weekend. A true gem it was, just a corner away from the subway exit. It smelt just like Thailand when we sat down (a good sign), and there were special items pasted all over the... More
