Awesome meat! Get your own at this butcher and prepare an epic BBQ

I bought A LOT of pounds of different cuts off meats (all Argentinean style, vacío, entraña, tira de asado, colita de cuadril, and achuras like morcilla, chorizo, morcilla) for a BBQ I was about to prepare in Manhattan for over 25 people. They were all impressed with the quality of the meat, and I... read more

This is the best argentine restaurant in NYC, period!!! It has an authentic atmosphere, as it is located near the Argentine Corner (this area was considered to be an argentine neighborhood for decades) and has some of the best tasting meats and chimichurri I have ever tasted (I am married to an argentine and have been to Argentina over a... How disappointing. We went on a Sunday night and it was packed, we waited close to an hour to be seated. Thinking "homemade pasta" I choose the ravioli stuff with spinach. It was so dried I had to pour olive oil just to swallow the pasta, which was ugh. I ended just eating the filling and leaving the pasta behind.... More

My family went to this small Elmhurst Argentine restaurant based on Tripadvisor reviews, and we were not disappointed. All the details were handled well, including the bread, the water bottle brought to the table, the fruit juices, and most importantly the main courses. Three of the four in our party got something other than meat entrees (2 chose shrimp, 1... More

Gauchito is a solid parillada experience for what you can get in the NYC area. In particular, they put a lot of care into the meat: where it comes from (grass-fed Nebraska cows!), and how it's cut (Argentine-style, not Yankee style, which are surprisingly different). This is a funny place, more than just a typical Argentine steakhouse. For starters, if... More

The food here was so delicious and reasonably priced. The meat and empanadas are worth trying. The highlight if our visit was the friendly staff. Parking is a little difficult as you have to park on the street.

I love the place. I was expecting it to be expensive but the food are really priced reasonably. I was actually surprise. I love the steak. I not really fond of meat but I sure did finish everything on my plate, of course excluding the bones for one. Would surely eat here again when I come visit New York again.

If you want to know how is the Argentinian steak, you SHOULD VISIT AND HAVE A STEAK at this restaurant, ask for the "Bife de Chorizo" (NY Steak) or the "Entrana" (skirt steak) or "Vacio"....all of them "medium rare", is almost a metaphysical experience. Meat lovers go there, is closer than Buenos Aires but with the same happy results. Enjoy!!!.

If you are looking for authentic Argentinian fare at very reasonable prices, you must visit this Restaurant with a truly family atmosphere and friendly service. Don't go there on Wednesdays, it is closed.
