The food here was so delicious and reasonably priced. The meat and empanadas are worth trying. The highlight if our visit was the friendly staff. Parking is a little difficult as you have to park on the street.

I love the place. I was expecting it to be expensive but the food are really priced reasonably. I was actually surprise. I love the steak. I not really fond of meat but I sure did finish everything on my plate, of course excluding the bones for one. Would surely eat here again when I come visit New York again.

If you want to know how is the Argentinian steak, you SHOULD VISIT AND HAVE A STEAK at this restaurant, ask for the "Bife de Chorizo" (NY Steak) or the "Entrana" (skirt steak) or "Vacio"....all of them "medium rare", is almost a metaphysical experience. Meat lovers go there, is closer than Buenos Aires but with the same happy results. Enjoy!!!.

If you are looking for authentic Argentinian fare at very reasonable prices, you must visit this Restaurant with a truly family atmosphere and friendly service. Don't go there on Wednesdays, it is closed.

During a recent stay in New York I visited this place. It combines a restaurant and an Argentine style deli. Empanadas were excellent and at a surprisingly reasonable price. On an earlier trip I had had dinner at the restaurant, quite good Argentine fare (parrilla and red wine). I am confident I will visit again.

My family and I have been coming here for years and it has always been excellent. It is nice to find a restaurant where not only do they serve excellent food but do so with a smile. You have to try it too!

This place was so nice, we walked in, they greeted and sat us right away. The waiter was also very pleasant and easy to work with, thank U. Price was reasonable and they are in no rush for you to leave once they closed for the evening.. they patiently waited until we were ready to go... Skirt steak was YUM!!!!... More

We first started coming here years ago after one of our Argentinian friends was nice enough to bring us. She used to rave about how this place reminded her of her childhood. After tasting the food I can see why she loved the place. For the price you get so much. We usually always get the combo platter with skirt... More

El Gauchito is impressive, it gives you the feeling of an old time family restaurant. It welcomes you with the smells of parrillada and friendly atmosphere. I took my family to celebrate my birthday and try some Argentinian cooking, and it was an excellent choice, everyone was satisfied with a smile on their faces. Traditional grilling mixed with perfect seasoning... More
