Reliably excellent! Sauce is the best. Never had a bad meal here. After just a few visits you are treated like family.

My husband received a gift card for his birthday, so we went there on 24 March to celebrate his birthday. It was a Tuesday, so we did not expect a large crowd. But there was a business function going on and a group from a senior center, so the place was very busy. Our waitress was in a hurry, I... More

We've been to Rico's on several occasions, and it is just the spot for traditional, comforting, Italian fare. There are regulars at the bar who act like it is their home away from home (and the bartenders treat them like somewhat annoying cousins), but you can always count on a warm welcome from Steve at the front, and a family-oriented... My first time to Ricos did not disappoint! Great and plentiful food. Delicious Italian with lots of options and fresh tasty salads. Yummy dessert too. And the ambiance and wait staff were both second to none.

My husband and I went there for Christmas Eve lunch and everything was outstanding. Our server did not miss a beat with our food or our drinks. We then went there for New Year's Eve and out Veal Scaloppini was fabulous. We all know that sometimes the food on New Years Eve can be a hit or miss. Our dishes... More

I have always wanted to go somewhere and have a large course fancy meal and this was exactly what we got. The food was delicious and the only thing we didn't like was the 45 min. wait. In their defense they did have a few large parties they were attending to.

Rico's has been around for a long time - consistent food - service can be spotty. Our group ordered across the menu and no one had any complaints - seafood, pasta, veal and chicken. All was served hot and had nice taste. The sauce was "on" this evening - fresh - nice taste and was piping hot. Our waiter had... More

Four of us dined at Rico's recently. I had not been there in over a year and I remember poor service then and not much had changed. Our server acted as if it was a big interruption of her evening to serve us. Isn't that why she's there? I ordered the eggplant Parmesan and it was dry and flavorless. I... More

The "shrimp riggies" were rigatoni's, shrimp, and sauce. The owner stated that's the way they make them there, which is completely wrong. Real riggies have mushrooms, onions, and peppers. IT'S A PASTA DISH! Do not call them riggies if they are not actual rigges, come to Utica and we'll teach you the proper way to prepare them. The steak was... More
