This location is next to a Howard Johnson's motel but is much classier. The downstairs is for classic Italian which we took to include better ??? since the upstairs was for casual dining. And, it was packed. Apparently it is a meeting place for older folks, also. The food was good and plentiful. I recommend it.

Well, I'll just say if you pass Joey's up It's really too bad. Everything is from made from scratch so it's pretty much fresh. And the people are fabulous here. Cheers.

Pleasantly surprised to find a great Italian restaurant off a major highway situated within a group of hotel chains. Restaurant was very busy and the staff was handling it very well. Our dinner salads were huge! Although were served as requested, fresh and tasty. The bread was warm and melted in your mouth. Our entrees were served with a side... More

Very quiet and with wonderful good. Portions are very sizable and the key lime cheesecake was awesome. The calamarie steak was best with the wine or cocktail sauce.

My last visit was ok so I decided to give it a second shot. Well, that was a mistake too. We were seated in the back of the restaurant where it is was freezing. The waitress appeared to be indifferent and did not reseat us after numerous complaints. The calamari was salty and greasy. The chicken in the Caesar salad... More

We stayed in East Syracuse when dropping our daughter off to college. We were looking for good Italian food and found Joey's on Trip Advisor. They have fine dining downstairs and casual dining upstairs. Having children we decided to go upstairs and the atmosphere was family friendly. The food was amazing and the price was just right. I had the... More

My husband was under the weather. So we opted for carryout. Joey's was fast and delicious. Generous Italian bread was included. We had more than we could eat.

After reading the reviews, and noting it has received an award from trip advisor, we were sadly disappointed. The restaurant is located downstairs - and the carpet had an old, musty, seldom-cleaned that permeated the stairwell. My son and I shared fried calamari which was ok, as was my wife's minestrone soup. The salads came out next. It was clear... More

In Syracuse on business; staying at a nearby hotel; looked up nearby restaurants and found Joey's. This is a nice Italian place that gives you two choices: Downstairs, a bit more formal Italian dining. Upstairs, Joey's Pronto, very nice but a bit more casual. We chose upstairs, and it was wonderful. I chose eggplant parmesian, and it may have been... More
