We were walking along the shops when the weather changed to a cold wind. We needed a warm drink. Fortunately we came upon the Golden Pear where we had good tea and coffee. We were surprised that there were so few eateries/cafes. We did not have any food but the place was filled with people eating lunch fare.

The line is out the door here in the summer, but then again you're in the Hamptons and on vacation so what's the rush! There are always a few brews of drip coffee in carafe's if want to skirt the line, pour your own and pay at the counter. If you do wait, the food is ok, not "OMG try... More

Good sandwiches, odd salads , mac'n cheese and curry chicken salad Confused slow service, with at times long lines

It's nice to know when you see the name, The Golden Pear, that you are guaranteed of getting a great sandwich, salad or chili. It's a little pricy but everything is in the Hamptons. It is usually very very busy at lunch time so expect a wait.

We actually tried the one in Sag Harbor, but I could not find it on Tripadvisor. The food was really good, we tried the cold sesame noodles, the curry chicken salad, and a chicken and avocado panini. Service was excellent, it was pouring outside and I was out of credit for my phone so one of the waitresses lent me... More

The Golden Pear is an excellent choice for a delicious meal or a quick bite. They are very busy all year round and everything is made fresh to order. Coffee is delicious.
