We live on the East End and have been eating here for more than 10 years. This restaurant never disappoints. We prefer the dining room over the taverna. The place is like a warm hug the instant you arrive. The kitchen is fantastic. The service is seamless. The desserts are made with love on site and not bland purchases from... More

We went to this restaurant because Ina Garten said it was one of her favorites (it is near her home). Since we basically think she makes all things well, we had to try out one of her favorites. The pan roasted chicken was the best we've ever had, very moist and delicious. The beat and goat cheese salad very good.... More

We were unable to get a reservation at the restaurant so we settled for the Tavern. The tavern menu itself is very limited so we ordered from the Restaurant Menu. We have dined at the 1770 house many times and it is very good. The Tavern is small, dark, damp and noisy so I would not recommend it it diners.

One of my favorite places in East Hampton! Walk into history and be welcomed by best COSMO in the Hamptons.. We went by for a cocktail our first afternoon of a week long girls trip and made it our cocktail stop the entire time. The sitting area is so inviting you really never want to leave. Now let's talk about... More

I had, by far the best cheeseburger and fries that I have ever had. My girlfriend loved the seared scallops. The staff was very helpful and provided great service. Had mouthwatering desserts. Great atmosphere. Would highly recommend!

I love the setting of this restaurant, and the history. The food was solidly good and worth the price. Have a drink downstairs before or after your dinner. My only complaint is the two TVs in the otherwise cozy and fun bar.

My wife and I had a wonderful meal in the tavern and decided to enjoy Ina Gardner's favorite meatloaf that lived up to it's advertisement. We were also over night guests at The 1770 House and enjoyed our off season continental breakfasts that made me a customer of the Hampton Coffee Company as well.

A one of a kind dining experience a great venue for that "special occasion" , with great service , food and setting .The elegance is at a its best on the main floor dining area ,for a more laid back meal try the "pub" downstairs with the same quality food and a cozy surrounding .I really enjoy dining at 1770... If you want a truly memorable experience while in the beautiful and historic village of East Hampton, make sure you reserve to stay at this romantic Inn or at the very least book dinner for a meal of a lifetime. Although our favorite time is in the summer when you can dine in the Inn's lovely garden, which is reminiscent... More
