If you want a truly memorable experience while in the beautiful and historic village of East Hampton, make sure you reserve to stay at this romantic Inn or at the very least book dinner for a meal of a lifetime. Although our favorite time is in the summer when you can dine in the Inn's lovely garden, which is reminiscent... More

The ambiance is just so wonderful. The service so attentive. The food so good! We've have eaten here a few time, and we always enjoy it. It's expensive, but so worth it!

This is the venue of choice for our birthdays and anniversaries. Charming, old and traditional, with a great wine cellar and good service. I've never dined in the downstairs pub area which supposedly has same quality food, but nowhere the ambience of the main floor. People get dressed up to dine and celebrate here: it's the only time I wear... More

Awesome fluke tartar and striped bass. Outdoor seating great. Pricey but worth it. Top notch. Great date night.

We ate outside the first time, with friends, celebrating a birthday. The service was discreet but charming, the food was fantastic. The garden dining area is delightful, modern and unfussy, the fire flies never escape my attention and add to the ambience. The second time we ate as a group in the basement of the house, the fluke tartare was... More

My husband and I had dinner outside around the little fountain. What a great experience. Service was amazing, the waiter from Florida was so attentive and guided us through the menu. I had the seared foie gras which was absolutely delicious. The peach chutney was just delicious. My husband had the salad which he said was very good also. Next,... More

My wife and I chose to go here based on TripAdvisor reviews and were not disappointed. Interestingly and unusually for us we each chose the same starter and main dish: green leaf salad and the pan roasted chicken. The chicken was perfectly cooked and moist & tender. We shared a flourless chocolate cake that rounded off a great meal. We... More

My wife and I have been here a number of times, always for a special occasion. The 1770 House never disappoints. The service is professional without being overbearing. The cuisine, as fine as anywhere in the U.S. or internationally. The menu changes and never becomes stale with an emphasis on locally grown and organic foods. Once again, we will return... More

The garden setting, the staff, the all around service is better than anywhere else in East Hampton. We used to go several times a year but have tapered off since we do eat in restaurants fairly often and to eat at 1770 House is expensive. This time we split a terrific salad(they change fairly often and are always interesting) and... More
