CITTANUOVA ON NEWTOWN LANE

Open dining in the summer, if you're a sports fan the bar is the place to be. Food is delicious and while expensive, it's worth a visit here. Back room offers booths. Lots of convivial chatter. Great location to watch the tourists stroll by with their shopping bags and summer tans.

Very hard to find a reasonably priced restaurant in East Hampton. The food was also high quality served nicely. Only, we did not like the salads finding them bland and over priced for what they were. We ate there two nights; one for salmon & the other for vergtarian..Wonderful minestrone and breadsticks

Food is consistant. Service is usually good. Sometimes the seem overwhelmed. Drinks are good, like the lemoncello martinis.

Tuesday night is Pizza night at Citta. It just might be the best bargain in E.H. for a casual night out following a movie or a great BB Ball game---Good luck EHHS in the playoffs ! The Pizza special was great & incl a beer & a nice helping of Gelato for $15 bucks. You can't beat that in this... More

The staff did a very good job, starting with the waiter who noticed that our table was a bit tipsy. So he got some paper, folded it and place it under one side of the table. Excellently fixed, it didn't tip at all. He then proceeded to do an excellent job taking care of us. The food and atmosphere was... More

Four of us dined here and we all loved our food. The food was well presented and beautifully cooked. I had the best chicken parmigiana I have ever eaten presented with a simple but great salad. My partner has spaghetti and meatballs which he raved about and the other 2 had salmon which they both loved. The wine list had... More

This Restaurant has a great lounge. It offers many appetizers/entries based on Italian cuisine. There is a great variety of pastas to choose from. One of my favorites is Pappardelle al. Sugo di Cinghiale. ( with boar sauce ). Also try baked eggplants parmigiana. Family friendly. Ambiance. Great service. I Recommend it! - Daniele Matteo, Food and Wine Editor .... More

The food and prices were very average. We didn't love our dinners nor hate them. The night we were there it was noisy and the service was slow. Would we eat there again...probably. Nick and Toni's is far better but also twice the price and the Cittanuova was better than the Palm House.

Not a destination restaurant but good informal place for a salad or pizza in the evening. Probably a better lunch spot especially since there is not open on a year around basis in mid day. Nice bar with large screen TVs. Stick to the simple items and you will not be disappointed. Some good mid week specials in the off... More

They have really good wines and not overpriced. I love the fact that you can order a lot of small plates to create your meal! The octopus is really good, as well as their pastas. We sat in the back and it looks like a beautiful indoor garden!!
