Usually stop here with friends when we go to the East Hampton Movies and we are never disappointed. A very local restaurant/diner with good food, especially their Greek specialties. However, this is not to take away their other daily specials which are very good. Not much atmosphere here, just lotsa comfort food. It gets real crowded around dinner time, so... More

I liked that it's a good breakfast place and it's very convenient when you want a good quick breakfast. It's not gourmet food but it's pretty decent, especially when you don't have to much time to eat.

We arrived at 11:45. Sat down at 12:21. Ordered an omelet around 12:25. Received the omelet around 12:33. Oily. Mediocre at best. At 12:46 a waitress came to us to rudely ask "are you done yet?!" with the clear implication that we should rush and finish faster since there was a waiting line. This was 13 minutes after receiving our... More

Nothing fancy but good food at a reasonable price for both lunch and breakfast. Not eaten dinner there.

This sis the go to place. The lines can sometimes be long, but they really know how to get the food out and organize the diners. Eggs are cooked to how you like it, nothing is an issue

Can't beat John Papas for breakfast or lunch. And if there's a line, head right to the counter with the locals.....there's almost always a seat or two and Sylvia is a gem. Everything's good, but try the Greek salad, and the turkey Reuben for something special. Dinner options are also good and bargains by Hamptons standards.

We found John Papas to be quite good for basic breakfast option in East Hampton. The food was prepared to order, portioned to our liking (not too much, not too little), and the service was good. The restaurant always had people there but it was never crowded.

My family & I have always had a good experience here. The service has always been attentive & helpful. My wife & daughters say the chicken souvlaki is the best. Good place for a quick, & reasonably priced meal before or after a movie.
