We have been out in the Hampton's for the last 4 days and have eaten in some good restaurants. We happened upon this restaurant tucked away near the train station. It was the BEST place we ate during our visit. The food was excellent: great wine list : and the service was very friendly and attentive. We will be back.

Super Summary: Good food, terrible service and management. We hadn't been to Race Lane over the last year because our experience the last time we were there was as equally bizarre. So we thought we'd give it another try. Now, I wish we hadn't. While the decor is bland, it has the potential for so much more charm, especially if... More

Chef Nimesh Maharjan is very creative and cooks up amazing food. The service on the other hand is a disaster. Stressed, impolite, too fast, walks away when you are still talking. Service is across the table and leaning across your plate. Empty plates are removed while people are still eating at the table. Several serveurs walked past 2 forks on... More

Race Lane is a mix of elegant and casual all at the same time. The halibut was outstanding, the pork chop (a little over done) was very good, particularly due to the cherry sauce. There is a vibe to this place yet the din is manageable. The service felt a little hectic, but it was Labor Day weekend after all.... More

My Experience at Race Lane- from the moment we arrived 3 moms with 4 children on a wednesday night - when the place was empty- they hated us. We sat down and 5 minutes later they asked us to keep it down. We opted to leave as the children were behaving appropriately. When i asked for the manager - none... More

While visiting friends in East Hampton, we had the pleasure of dining here one evening. The place looks great and has a very nice patio area where you can dine outside. Both food and service were very good except my wife's filet mignon, which was over cooked and bland. Stick with the pastas and seafood which hit the mark. This... More

My wife and I really enjoy eating here during the season and in the off-season. The food is always terrific and we love how cozy the dining room feels whether it is a packed summer evening or on a winter night when the fireplace is glowing warmly. The owners are always around to ensure that everything is running smoothly and... More

Our food, drinks and service on the patio were all outstanding! BUT......they need to cut down the wild cherry tree so guests can sit on the chairs outside without getting clothes stained. Fortunately all were easily cleaned but it needs to go. Otherwise highly recommend.

We had dinner at Race Lane on a Saturday night. They sat us outside which was very charming. A all brick patio with comfortable outdoor heaters. Our waiter, Shane was extremely pleasant and accommodating. We had fish and pork chops which were served beautifully and had incredible flavor. The staff was friendly and the food was really good. The bill... More
