Great place, fun, good food, and good prices!

Joey's is a combo bar and restaurant. I have only eaten on the bar side at the tables in the back (over 10 times). But it is the same food as the restaurant. Traditional NY style Italian home style food. Is it NY "haute cuisine"? NO. But you can't get a better Veal anywhere for $14!

This is a small, unclean bar/pub. The food is of poor quality and very much over priced for portion size and quality. A short walk or ride...you could find better.

This was within walking distance of our hotel for the night. It is a local bar/saloon that serves food, some with an Italian flavor. The decor was mostly neon beer signs and a few video games. The place was dark, but the female bartender, who was also our waitress, was great. After three glasses of wine,( we were not driving)... More

Joey's Place is an average neighborhood bar conveniently located. The menu is actually pretty decent. Kudos to the cooks. Whether it's take out or eat in the meal is always delicious. Bar atmosphere.

A clean, unassuming spot with white tablecloths, decent food, and cheerful service. Sometimes rap or electronica from the adjoining bar drowned out the Ratpack/Muzak schmaltz of the restaurant, which amused rather than annoyed us, as did the pro wrestling on the big screen TV. Based on our visit, Rigatoni Pomodoro and Angel Hair Primavera (with chianti, of course) can both... More

Recommended by out hotel. The outside was a little scary and dark, poorly lit entry but inside was very nice. An old building nicely restored. Tables had white linens, were far enough apart to allow some intimacy and privacy. Our waitress was wonderful, the food was very good, basically Italian or Mediterranean; presentation quite nice. Would recommend.

We stayed at a hotel near the restaurant after our flight was cancelled unexpectedly!! The hotel staff recommended it. So we decided to go for drinks. All four of us were glad we went! Although it's a bit outdated, the bartender was fantastic and the wings were not only very inexpensive, but they tasted phenomenal!!! We were thrilled with the... More

I wanted to dine at a REAL Italian restaurant "Like you'd see in 'The Godfather'". Short of going to Little Italy we were referred to Joey's & were not disappointed. The lasagna was not as spicy as I'm used to from Olive Garden (I know:no flames please) and excellent. Service was great:Lisa was most helpful with suggestions for a couple... More

The bar patrons at Joey's are not scary but they are mostly black ..which apparently for some people that means the same thing..which is sad. I saw some people comment that it's an italian restaurant which plays rap music like that is so out of this world. What is weird about that? There is a jukebox and it plays rap... More

Ate dinner at Joeys the other night while staying near LaGuardia airport for an early morning flight. We sat in a booth on the bar side vice the restaurant side of the place. We ordered a beer and had their bar menu food. Food was good, but over priced. They were playing loud RAP music in this so called Italian... More
