Love the wings

I think "Wally's" is an excellent place for a beer and wings. Don't let the lack of bar stools fool you or the (faux) surly bartenders. Given some of the other pizza options locally, I think theirs is lacking, but to be fair, they're not a pizza-n-wings place like so many others are. They are so... read more

Met an old friend for lunch, as she told me the place had great food. When we got there they told her the fan in the kitchen was broke, so we couldn't get anything grilled. Bummer. I had a pizza was ok and she had a salad looked ok. I will go back as the place was getting busy, so... More

This restaurant (in an old hotel) has been a local favorite for a LONG time. Their wings are AWESOME!!! They have a bar 'room' and two small dining rooms so it tends to fill up quickly. The staff are very friendly and food is delivered fast. They have a fairly good beer list as well, lots of local brews. Great... More

I couldn't wait to go to Wallenwein's for a Friday night fish fry. We got there early as the place really fills up, especially during lent. We all had the fish. We had different sizes, cooked different ways (Cajon, fried, broiled) and they were all excellent! Homemade side dishes are a thing of the past, but not here. The service... More

I have only had occasion to visit Wallenwein's hotel on two occasions. First, despite the name, there are no rooms for rent. It's a local meeting place and watering hole. Nonetheless, the atmosphere is very down home and cozy, the service is good, and the wings went down very smoothly. Prices seem reasonable for a place serving simple American style... More

Nothing fancy here, but the food's good especially beef on weck and wings. The service can be uneven when it's crowded, but not bad.

Enjoyed some WNY treats with family and friends from Ohio,Boston MA and Hamburg,NY at Wallenwein's. The roast beef on Weck was DELICIOUS! It was tender and piled high on a YUMMY salted Weck. EVERYONE enjoyed their offerings from salads, burgers, wings.wraps & roast beef. We were a party of 12 and the service by one young man decked out for today's Buffalo... More

Full disclosure, I an an East Aurora 'townie', I have been going here on and off for many years, but on my most recent visit it was the food selections that caught my attention. The menu has been updated and the items range from fancy steaks, to chicken wings & pizza, to fried baloney! All of the items we ordered... More

Plans to meet my sister at a different restaurant didn't come to fruition because that place was too busy. We took a quick trip down to Wallenweins and were so glad we did. It was around 2PM on a windy, fall afternoon. The dining area was busy but they had some tables in the bar and in the back room.... More

We went to Wallenwein's Hotel on Friday night with friends. We couldn't get into another local restaurant, so we thought we would try Wallenwein's. We are so glad that we did. We walked right in and were told we could just sit ourselves down at an empty table. Two of us had the beer battered fish fry, which were very... More
