A pleasant surprise; but first, upon entering Arriba Tortilla in East Aurora we were skeptical. Decorations reminded us of the Mexico we had visited many times in the past, but upon closer inspection we noticed the “cafeteria” quality seating. Servers, although very nice, were very slow considering the few patrons in the restaurant at the time.

We decided to make the best of it and ordered the “house margaritas” to go with the complimentary fresh made chips and salsa. Chips are excellent and salsa, like spaghetti sauce, can differ with the chef or family preparing it. The quality of the margaritas tipped the scale so we did proceed to the menu. We would, however, suggest serving margaritas in margarita glasses, not Manhattan glasses.

We ordered the Grilled Steak Fajitas and the Shrimp Skewers. Both were unbelievably good.

Very large portions so we will enjoy the other half for lunch tomorrow.

The steak fajitas were $17.42 and served with tortillas. It arrived on a sizzling hot iron server with peppers, onions and a side of guacamole, pico de gallo and sour cream. It was also served with a dish of rice, refried beans and corn pudding. Steak was very tender and had great flavor.

The Shrimp Skewers were 11.24 and came with 3 wooden skewers of 5 shrimp each. They were wonderfully seasoned and cooked to perfection. The plate included very flavorful moist rice with pineapple salsa and jalapeno jelly.

Margaritas were $4.50 each. Despite the slow start we will definitely race to this place again.

Credible taco

Stopped in by accident hoping for a takeout breakfast taco or two. The newly-constructed (I imagine) restaurant is in the rear of a parking lot in the otherwise "tony" (and quite attractive) town of East Aurora. Arriba does not offer breakfast tacos (too bad), so I settled for a chorizo taco to... read more

It's friendly with good service and surprisingly good food. Reasonably priced too. Beers and cocktails are available. Definitely worth a visit.

Having never been here we were taken as a daughters choice for her "Birthday Dinner" and we were pleasantly surprised. Not a big place by any means and somewhat hidden in a small strip mall, but worth finding if you want tex/mex. They have a large marqarita menu and fairly extensive food menu. Service was friendly and very attentive and prizes... More

stopped by after work for a couple of drinks and snack. They were good and the service was excellent. Much differnet from the last time I was there for dinner. Maybe train your servers like you do your bartender and the place might do better.

Great place to sit down and enjoy a few drinks. Nice place to also bring your family for an enjoyable dinner get together. The waitress acknowledged the older children kindly asking them what they'd like. Reasonable prices. Only complaint is that, on a busy Friday, it needs a better sitting/waiting area when people are waiting in line.

First time coming here despite meaning to for a long time. Fast to sit and then it got really busy. Drinks were huge although maybe a little expensive. Service was great. Chips and salsa were tasty. Kids meals were huge and generous. Our adult drinks were big but maybe a little expensive. They were good. Food was very good. My... More

Not an authentic Mexican restaurant. Chips and salsa seemed store bought. Many items on the menu were more American style

Very quiet when my husband and I went. Went at an off time. Service was fine, and my husband liked what he ordered. But what I was confused by, was that I had read reviews before going, from people who had complained about the food having little flavor, or spice. I was sure that the owners would be listening to... This was the first time I'd been here since they moved. Did a great job decorating the place. Waited a time for a table, yet could see MANY empty tables, so wasn't sure why we and others had to wait. Once seated, it took time to get a menu and be welcomed by the waitress. There was no one running... More

My daughter and I ate here for lunch recently and enjoyed the experience! The place is deceptive on the outside - really roomy and yet cozy inside. There is a bar area leading to a larger dining area and a back outside patio - so whether couples looking for a quiet place or a large group, they can do it... More
