A pleasant surprise; but first, upon entering Arriba Tortilla in East Aurora we were skeptical. Decorations reminded us of the Mexico we had visited many times in the past, but upon closer inspection we noticed the “cafeteria” quality seating. Servers, although very nice, were very slow considering the few patrons in the restaurant at the time. We decided to make the best of it and ordered the “house margaritas” to go with the complimentary fresh made chips and salsa. Chips are excellent and salsa, like spaghetti sauce, can differ with the chef or family preparing it. The quality of the margaritas tipped the scale so we did proceed to the menu. We would, however, suggest serving margaritas in margarita glasses, not Manhattan glasses. We ordered the Grilled Steak Fajitas and the Shrimp Skewers. Both were unbelievably good. Very large portions so we will enjoy the other half for lunch tomorrow. The steak fajitas were $17.42 and served with tortillas. It arrived on a sizzling hot iron server with peppers, onions and a side of guacamole, pico de gallo and sour cream. It was also served with a dish of rice, refried beans and corn pudding. Steak was very tender and had great flavor. The Shrimp Skewers were 11.24 and came with 3 wooden skewers of 5 shrimp each. They were wonderfully seasoned and cooked to perfection. The plate included very flavorful moist rice with pineapple salsa and jalapeno jelly. Margaritas were $4.50 each. Despite the slow start we will definitely race to this place again. We would suggest visiting Vidler's 5 & 10 in town and 10 miles away Made in America Store

Not very authentic

Not an authentic Mexican restaurant. Chips and salsa seemed store bought. Many items on the menu were more American style

Very quiet when my husband and I went. Went at an off time. Service was fine, and my husband liked what he ordered. But what I was confused by, was that I had read reviews before going, from people who had complained about the food having little flavor, or spice. I was sure that the owners would be listening to... This was the first time I'd been here since they moved. Did a great job decorating the place. Waited a time for a table, yet could see MANY empty tables, so wasn't sure why we and others had to wait. Once seated, it took time to get a menu and be welcomed by the waitress. There was no one running... More

My daughter and I ate here for lunch recently and enjoyed the experience! The place is deceptive on the outside - really roomy and yet cozy inside. There is a bar area leading to a larger dining area and a back outside patio - so whether couples looking for a quiet place or a large group, they can do it... More

The food here is wonderful! Authentic Mexican with huge portions and many unique menu choices. They have a stellar enchilada and shrip quesadilla! Regular customer here!

Something for everyone! We had last eaten Mexican in San Diego Ca. and this was just as good! I recommend it to everyone. Loved the frozen Margaritas!

Went for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The food was above average. Some interesting flavors and very fresh. The decor is simple, but they tried to make it on the cute side.

The wife and I went on Mother's Day and we're disappointed with the flautas for the first time. Mine we're so dry that the shell exploded when my fork hit it, shooting it all over me...the chicken was dark orange....God only knows how old this was....I told the waitress and she replaced it quickly....that's another thing...you get your food so... We go here about once a month. Food is great, service is always excellent. It can get rather loud and crowded if they are busy. Food is really good, but a little pricey.

Went there with friends for dinner, I had never heard of the restaurant as I don't often go to East Aurora. I love Mexican food and had a great meal. I am looking forward to going back to try out other dishes!
