Cuisines: Mexican
Description: A pleasant surprise; but first, upon entering Arriba Tortilla in East Aurora we were skeptical. Decorations reminded us of the Mexico we had visited many times in the past, but upon closer inspection we noticed the “cafeteria” quality seating. Servers, although very nice, were very slow considering the few patrons in the restaurant at the time. We decided to make the best of it and ordered the “house margaritas” to go with the complimentary fresh made chips and salsa. Chips are excellent and salsa, like spaghetti sauce, can differ with the chef or family preparing it. The quality of the margaritas tipped the scale so we did proceed to the menu. We would, however, suggest serving margaritas in margarita glasses, not Manhattan glasses. We ordered the Grilled Steak Fajitas and the Shrimp Skewers. Both were unbelievably good. Very large portions so we will enjoy the other half for lunch tomorrow. The steak fajitas were $17.42 and served with tortillas. It arrived on a sizzling hot iron server with peppers, onions and a side of guacamole, pico de gallo and sour cream. It was also served with a dish of rice, refried beans and corn pudding. Steak was very tender and had great flavor. The Shrimp Skewers were 11.24 and came with 3 wooden skewers of 5 shrimp each. They were wonderfully seasoned and cooked to perfection. The plate included very flavorful moist rice with pineapple salsa and jalapeno jelly. Margaritas were $4.50 each. Despite the slow start we will definitely race to this place again. We would suggest visiting Vidler's 5 & 10 in town and 10 miles away Made in America Store

Food is sometimes uneven as is the service. New quarters may improve things. Prices are fine. In general the flavors are fine, but order carefully

Love their chicken quesadillas. My husband had beef & Mahi taco. He loved the Mahi taco. Their sangria isn't too great. Next time I'll have a margharita. I've had those in past & they were good. The service was pleasant but not enough wait staff for how busy the place was. I like the outside dining option. Will definitely return.... More

Everything on the menu is very good to excellent- the margaritas are handmade and spectacular (pricey tho). I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal!

My husband and I stopped in on a very busy weeknight for a quick dinner. We gave our name to the hostess and sat at the bar until our table was ready. The bartender was very friendly and attentive and the drinks were reasonable. We didn't wait very long, and after sitting down, we were brought fresh tortilla chips and... More

Only in East Aurora where you'll find such a huge range of fine restaurants including this fine Mexican place. Once you try it, you'll never try another Mexican restaurant again!

My family and I tried this place during restaurant week. We thought the food was delicious. The chips and salsa were highly addictive! I tried the chicken quesadilla which was fantastic. The rest of the food had a very generic taste, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. We also tried he fried ice cream and that was amazing. I... More

We wanted to see if we could find a good Mexican restaurant in WNY. The atmosphere and staff were very nice and the chips & salsa was great. We thought this would be the start of a great meal..but it was mediocre. Chicken burrito bowl- chicken was dry. Pork burrito- who would ever think that Mexican pork would be a... More

I can't remember when I was more disappointed with a restaurant. The chips and salsa were excellent and probably lead us to believe that the rest of the meal would be the same. Not the case. My pepper was crunchy stuffed with dried up potatoes and chicken that had seen it's better days......dry, dry, dry. It totally lacked flavor. My... More

I often get stuck in East Aurora for office meetings and since John & Mary's closed, I no longer have a "go-to" place that I love. Enter Arriba Tortilla. The servings sizes are more than generous. At first glace you might think this place is expensive, but a lot of the orders could easily be split between 2 people. Me... More

We went to Arriba's for dinner on the 17th of February. We started out at the bar for a drink and then moved to a table. The chips and salsa were great, the salsa is a bit spicy, but it is so good you can't stop. My boyfriend had the 12'' enchilada, and I had the shrimp burrito bowl. We were... More
