A pleasant surprise; but first, upon entering Arriba Tortilla in East Aurora we were skeptical. Decorations reminded us of the Mexico we had visited many times in the past, but upon closer inspection we noticed the “cafeteria” quality seating. Servers, although very nice, were very slow considering the few patrons in the restaurant at the time. We decided to make the best of it and ordered the “house margaritas” to go with the complimentary fresh made chips and salsa. Chips are excellent and salsa, like spaghetti sauce, can differ with the chef or family preparing it. The quality of the margaritas tipped the scale so we did proceed to the menu. We would, however, suggest serving margaritas in margarita glasses, not Manhattan glasses. We ordered the Grilled Steak Fajitas and the Shrimp Skewers. Both were unbelievably good. Very large portions so we will enjoy the other half for lunch tomorrow. The steak fajitas were $17.42 and served with tortillas. It arrived on a sizzling hot iron server with peppers, onions and a side of guacamole, pico de gallo and sour cream. It was also served with a dish of rice, refried beans and corn pudding. Steak was very tender and had great flavor. The Shrimp Skewers were 11.24 and came with 3 wooden skewers of 5 shrimp each. They were wonderfully seasoned and cooked to perfection. The plate included very flavorful moist rice with pineapple salsa and jalapeno jelly. Margaritas were $4.50 each. Despite the slow start we will definitely race to this place again. We would suggest visiting Vidler's 5 & 10 in town and 10 miles away Made in America Store

Great food

We go here about once a month. Food is great, service is always excellent. It can get rather loud and crowded if they are busy. Food is really good, but a little pricey.

Went there with friends for dinner, I had never heard of the restaurant as I don't often go to East Aurora. I love Mexican food and had a great meal. I am looking forward to going back to try out other dishes!

They did something to the rice recipe that accompanies their dishes. Their rice used to have a reddish hue and some seasoning, lately it's completely white, pasty and bland. Unfortunately it detracts from the rest of dish which is usually very good.

Visited Arriba with 3 girlfriends in their new(er) location in the village of East Aurora. My husband and i had gone a couple of years ago and while we love Mexican cuisine, neither of us were thrilled with this place. The new location is tucked back a bit on Main Street near Riley but had ample parking. (Another improvement from... More

My boyfriend and I decided to grab some food from Arriba on Saturday night instead of staying in. We got there around dinner rush time, but there were two seats available at the bar so we decided not to wait for a table. We were greeted immediately by a very friendly bartender and received our drinks quickly. It took a... More

Nice setting, decent drinks, pleasant service, but a very strange rendition of what is represented to be Mexican food.

My boyfriend and I went there for our Valentine's day dinner on President's Day...This is the first time we have been at the new location, and it is so much roomier and quite. They were pretty much packed when we arrived around 630pm. We opted for a table, as it was -7 outside and the booth that was available was... More

My wife and I decided to try Arriba Tortilla on the afternoon of January 10, 2015. I always wanted to go there when it was on Main Street, but almost always find myself getting wings at the Barbill whenever in East Aurora. Now it is in the plaza on Riley. I read nothing but great reviews (not on Trip Advisor).... More

Looked forward to the new Arriba's once they moved. The Place is very nice, but the food we thought was better at the old Location. Did not have as much flavoring as before , Was very bland, not very flavorful . Had to ask for chips and salsa unlike the old location they brought you the chips and salsa as... More

So why a Mexican restaurant in East Aurora? Most unexpected. Deadly black Margarita. Unexpected and demanding you have a second just to check it out. A real unexpected mix of goodies in the kitchen make for some splendid seafood/Mexican fusion. Fifth time back as good as 1-4 even though they have moved location. Your pocketbook will like the price, your... More
