Good Eats in Duanesburg

I had breakfast with two friends at the Duanesburg Diner....I knew I was in for a treat when the "Attractions"billboard on the road noted this diner. First of all, don't go here if you are in a rush. All the food is prepared when ordered and takes a while. We waited 40 minutes and enjoyed the... read more

Great service, great food! It's very clean and friendly! My husband and I drive a half hour just to come here. I recommend the blueberry pancakes and bacon!

Duanesburg, about 30 minutes west of Albany, has two diners: Gibby's is a 1953 Mountain View on Route 7, and Duanesburg Diner is an older (rare) Bixler with vaulted ceiling covered over with drop-ceiling panels, much amended and changed on the outside, at the intersection of Routes 7 and 20. We had our first mid-day breakfast at Duanesburg Diner on... More

I have been here many, many times and each time, it feels like going home. There's something about a cold glass of milk at the Duanesburg Diner. And you have to eat an awful lot to hit the minimum $10 to use plastic. There is no bad food here. You can't go wrong.

Happy to make a few stops here. Breakfast is always good. You might have to wait a while if you stop in on a Sunday morning. This place is very popular with bikers. I love to drive route 20, it's like going back to the 1950s.

Stopped on a trip to New England....very tired and very hungry. Place was very busy but food was excellent. Despite the crowd, the staff was very attentive.

This is probably the most vintage and genuine restaurant in the area. This is the Jack's oyster House of diners. Many other diners are glitzy, coated with stainless steel, Formica tables and don't have a personality. This place definitely has a personality! They have great food. Mostly go here as a breakfast place they make a great omelette. They also... More

First time in a long time I ordered breakfast and got what I asked for. I'm guessing this place has been here a while because the building needs some major renovations. Food was good tho...

Skip this place. Came for breakfast. Took over 40 minutes to get two orders of French toast and a egg order. Found a blonde hair on the sausage patty and on one of the pieces of French toast. When I alerted the waitress, she said it was too bad and that nobody in the kitchen has blonde hair. We definitely... More

My husband and I stopped in here for breakfast on 5-30-14. I ordered the mushroom and swiss omelette and my husband had the veggie omelette. With homefries and toast. We both ordered coffee. Service was great. Food was very good. Prices are very reasonable..we would recommend eating here...
