The food is absolutely delicious! When the appetizer came I ate all!! It was really good. The salmon is the best! I took all of it and wanted so much more. My brother got the chicken schnitzel and it was crispy outside and soft inside. Me and my sister got macaroni and cheese but it turns out it wasn't that... More

My husband and I and are 3 young children dined here for dinner while staying at a local resort. This is really a bar with restaurant seating, yet they do have high chairs. The food is excellent and even though there is not a children's menu, there are options that children will eat.

It's a small bar turned restaurant with about a dozen tables, some out front on the wide sidewalk. A few TVs inside, nothing extravagant. The servers appeared very busy. I ordered the special of the night, petite filets with a mushroom demi glace, medium rare. It seemed to take some time and when it came out it was burned on... More

Doesn't look like much from the street but this is the best place in Cortland. Fantastic food and great service. I had the Cowboy Steak special and it was amazing and a great value. My brother had the Trout special and gave it two thumbs up. Can't wait to go again when back in Cortland.

We were driving to Canada from Pennsylvania and stopped here because it was way past lunch time and we saw people sitting at tables in front of the place on a Sunday afternoon. It was on a one way street so we had to go around the block twice to park. I was expecting bar food but was surprised at... More

We arrived Saturday evening (5/24) and were seated immediately even though the place was PACKED. My only complaint with the service is that the waitress did not keep up with the drink refills but then again she seemed to be by herself and it was just a matter of catching her attention in between her "Olympic runs' to the kitchen.... We stopped on our way to Buffalo and were very pleasantly surprised by the excellent fresh food and delicious selection of draft beers. My daughter had the tasty chicken satay served on a slice of fresh pineapple. I had the lettuce wraps with roasted veggies, which was wonderful. Friendly staff. Needless to say Hairy Tony's will be a regular stop... More

We stopped off here for lunch and it was as always an enjoyable meal. I was a bit dissappointed in that they no longer carry Cortland beer, it seems the brewery opened up a pub close by and the owner of Hairy Tony's dropped serving their beer for whatever reason. I believe that was a mistake, but it's a decision... More

A good spot for a business lunch but you'll see it as a casual spot for lunch, dinners or anytime. Local ownership with Tony often in the restaurant and I love the fact you're often greeted by the owner. I love the whole menu but a friend of mine can't come in an order anything but the fish fry. Excellent.... More

I like the food, drink, and the atmosphere, which is mostly a place where you'll feel welcomed by staff and fellow patrons alike. Although Cortland is a college town, this is not where the students come to drink and hang out. NO offense intended, but that's one of the things I like about Hairy Tony's. It caters to folks that...
