I was just reading through these reviews and see one from RDCACERES bashin this place and the owner. First of all, not sure why you put homemade in parenthesis, because the homemade spaghetti is just that. Maybe you ordered regular spaghetti. Secondly, why was the salad terrible? Is it because you didn't have a choice of dressing? What could possibly... More

Melodyland has a long history, and it shows in the 1940s vibe from the structure itself, to Sinatra crooning in the background, to the homey food served by ladies that seem more like moms or sisters than waitresses. I live for the eggplant rollettes and my son loves the meatballs. While some may think the salads are bland, we love... More

Very good hometown restaurant. Great food and very friendly service! I would definitely return for lunch or dinner and I hear they have excellent pizza!

Okay! where do I begin, the food was overcooked my bf had Lasagna and I had the "homemade" spaghetti and meatballs. the beer and wine were fine. The service was nothing to write home about. We had drinks and they were good. As part of the entree mt bf got a salad....it was TERRIBLE. Just save your money and go somewhere... More

Tried Melodyland take out this trip...it was almost as good as we remember from our last visit......missed the wonderful table service, but the food was wonderful. Home cooking at its best, great Italian food, great prices, one of our favorite places in central NY. will return again and again.

Melodyland is a treasure. It is an old-fashioned neighborhood family-owned Italian restaurant. Please disregard the review below that calls this wonderful little gem a “dive”. This is a 1930s-era neighborhood restaurant in the first floor of a house. It is clean-as-a-whistle, features home-cooked Southern Italian favorites and is beloved by both the backbone of Cortland’s Italian community and others that... More

You can't beat this place for authentic Italian cuisine. Love their homemade pizza crust (and I can tell you that it IS homemade). They also offer homemade sauces, meatballs, sausage, spaghetti, chicken, veal...you name it! It is always packed, because the food is good, and the atmosphere is comforting - a lot like being in your Nana's house. The wait... More

Definitely a dive, but there are very few places in Cortland to get decent food and even fewer that aren't dives! The pasta is good and the staff friendly. They deserve your business so give it a shot.

We've had dinner on numerous occasions, I love the gnocchi! But.....tonight we decided to try the pizza... Going back 4 generations? I think not! Trust me the pizza shell was store bought. Most people that have made homemade pizza can tell a "dry" dough consistancy. We will not be wasting money on a supermarket shell! Very disappointed.....l

Dining here is like stepping back in time, like visiting my grandmother's kitchen. It's not fancy. They have limited hours and always seem packed. If you call ahead they will reserve a table, otherwise its first come first served. Lisa runs the place with her mom and they have the nicest servers and wonderful home cooked food. There is a...
