Very good food. It is always consistent and never bad. The portion sizes are large. Very good homemade tartar sauce. If you like a good fish fry, this is the place. Never any bones either!! They also are very supportive of their community, with fundraisers. Bonus: they have the best sundaes and ice cream. Enjoy!!

We haven't stopped at Doug's in at least a year or two. But we had a hankering for take-out fish and we're so glad we went to Doug's. The fried fish was outstanding--really clean fry, light batter, and white, delicious fish. Yum!

After scouring Cortland for a decent place to dine, we ended up here, which was surprisingly good. The staff is friendly and efficient. My wife had an order of fried shrimp, I had the fish sandwich which came with generous portions of fish fillets, freshly-cut fries and cole slaw. All were cooked to perfection. Good stuff! And, if you happen... More

Go to Doug's on a Friday night, and you're likely to see half the people in town there. And it's no wonder. Doug's fish is flown in fresh a couple of times a week, and they really know what they're doing in frying it. It is delicious! If you don't want fish, they also have fried shrimp, and wonderful fish... More

My wife and I have been here at least 100 times in the last 15 years. It's always been great, and the food is always fresh. Very nice people too. You order at the counter, and then they call your name. There are no waiters. This works just fine with me.

Rachel at Doug's Fish Fry did an outstanding job of understanding the miscommunication on what was ordered and what we received. She fixed the order and all with a smile!

We have eaten at Doug's many times over the years. Back in the day we drove to Skaneateles. When it was first built in Cortland it was very small-but always crowded. The renovation has a very nice size restaurant for family dining. The owner is a huge NY Jets Fan, and since the team is using Cortland as their preseason... More

I popped in to Doug's Fish Fry since it was so close to my hotel based on a recommendation from the front desk staff. They were busy but very friendly and prompt service. The food was definitely good enough to warrant a return trip.

in the area. We eat here every time we are in the Cortland area. Prices have gone up lately, but great tasting fish and fried onion rings. Coleslaw is fresh and wonderful taste. Has celery seed in it. Can get fish dinner or a selection of shrimp, hotdogs and clams. Scallops are an item too. Dinner is under $10. Order... More

Stopped at Doug's Fish Fry and enjoyed the fresh fried oysters from the special menu. The fries, onion rings and chicken tenders where prepared in a light batter and not greasy. We would stop again if we are in the area and recommend others to do the same.
