I was in Corning recently with my husband for a day-trip, most restaurants and shops are closed in Corning on Sunday but Sorge's was open and had good Trip Advisor ratings so we decided to stop in for a glass of wine and a few appetizers. They had a nice menu of local wines that were very reasonably priced. We... More

I actually eat at Sorge's quite often. The food and service are excellent, prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious.

Love it when we go to Sorge's!!! The food is great and they have the best homemade pastas. Prices are reasonable. The whole staff is friendly and the service is great! Having said that, the service was very good, the food was average, and this is a small town...... The staff do what they are supposed to do, but this is not what I would classify as anything close to gourmet. Basic Italian American.

Took my wife to Sorge's Restaurant in Corning, NY for her Birthday. The Seafood Alfredo & Ravioli Michangelo Alfredo were excellent. They had a good wine list and their deserts are to die for. The service was right on and the prices were reasonable.

Sorge's is one of those friendly places that make you feel like you're at home. And, if you ask nicely, they may make you Red Clam sauce for their homemade pasta!

Went to Sorges on a Saturday night, the place was fairly busy. The owner (I think) seated us and explained the pasta buffet. He was very pleasant and informative. He said the waitress would be right with us and explain the prime rib special. When she arrived the waitress said nothing of the prime rib, in fact she was not... More

The server was most attentive and very pleasant... accommodated a minors special request with no issues The salad was fine, the bread is great and the scallops were good...good quantity and reasonable quality. I debated about reviewing this restaurant because I live in NYC, with it's abundance of Italian restaurants, and have also traveled to Italy. So it seemed unfair to judge food from an upstate, Italian-American restaurant against what I am used to. The staff was so friendly and helpful, though, that I had to review Sorge's. The place is certainly popular;... More
