The wait staff was very pleasant and the food was excellent. Slightly pricey, but not too expensive.

I keep coming back to this restaurant when I am in Corning NY for business. This place is perfect both for relaxing dinner on my own, romantic dinner for 2 or dinner/drinks with a big group. They have a great selection of wines and an amazing European-inspired menu. Their cheese board is one of the best I tried. The waiters... More

The bartenders were knowledgeable and made great drinks. We enjoyed the atmosphere, and some of the small plates as well as dinner. The pulled pork was good, and the beet ravioli was fantastic! We also enjoyed the smoked salmon appetizer. Overall, a very nice outing with friends.

Stopped here for dinner on a Friday evening as a pit stop on a long drive. We were seated promptly and the place already had a nice buzz, though it was just after 7pm. Ordering the wine via tablet was a nice user-friendly touch, allowing for a nice browsing experience, whether one knew what one wanted or was somewhat undecided.... More

We ate here twice. The first time I had three "nibbles" choices: seasoned olives, fried chick peas, and slivered almonds with coriander and olive oil. A perfect amount of food with wine and salad. All the nibbles were absolutely delicious and satisfying. The second time I had the half order of beet ravioli, which was stupendous. Many vegan, vegetarian and... More

We landed on The Cellar in desperate need of food for Daddy and hungry son. Mom did a "yelp search" or something and came up with this option. We loved it. The food was fairly sophisticated and except for one of our dishes, we loved it. The kid (12 y.o.) had an expensive meal that he ate completely. I'd recommend... More

Our dinner was delightful! We took advantage of the Thursday Martini special and loved our respective choices: an orange dreamsicle for me and a strawberry basil for my DH. My husband & I then shared everything else and it was more than enough food. We started with the fried green tomatoes special appetizer and the lamb lollipops. Both were beautifully... More

Somewhere between 3 1/2 and 4 stars. Four stars, because to find a restaurant with so many vegan options in Corning is surprising and heart-warming. Three and a half stars, because the execution was disappointing at times. The vegan Dosa was too spicy, the tofu Gyro too salty, and the dessert, a chocolate mousse, too sweet. Nicer was the “cheese”... More

Menu was very creative, great offerings with well thought out presentations. Lamb lollypops, 3 baby rack of lamb chops with a bit of mint, cheese and bacon, fantastic. Kobe beef was perfect. Sides were well matched to entree. Great service, very helpful and friendly staff, will go back. Excellent value.
