Great food - vegetarian friendly!

I was there at Corning for work and a friend recommended this restaurant. The menu looked good, so I gave it a try. I ordered the strawberry basil cocktail and it was so smooth and tasted really good. I also ordered few tapas - summer roll and bruschetta,..the summer roll came with a yogurt sauce... read more

Walked in here last night and was hit by the over air conditioning and loud vibe. Stood for a long time waiting for some attention and although bartenders saw us and wait staff too no one made eye contact with us. It was not busy at all, just unattended and it is obviously not anyone else's job to pay attention... More

This is a wonderful restaurant. Service wasn't very friendly but still polite. But the food sure made up for that. I definitely recommend!

I sat at the bar for about 5 minutes with menus and no one offered me so much as water. I will not be coming back here.

We went to The Cellar last night. The menu is weird in that there are not a lot of choices for someone who wants to eat some chicken or fish. It was very eclectic. The drinks were just fair. I went up to the bar to talk with the bartender about my drink. Stood there 10 minutes while he completely... More

Was great to sit at the bar and order small plates all night. Some entrées you can order half orders of, which is smart to give a variety of samplings. The corned beef slider, corn fritters, and tamale were all yummy. Very capable bar so drinks were great with wide selection of (very good!) wines by the glass. Only downer... More

The food is always phenomenal and this time was no exception. We had the poutine and a wood plank filled with local and house made cheeses and meats. Our steak and salad entrées were both delicious and perfectly portioned. Add in the lava cake served with salted caramel ice cream and a chevre cheese cake and our dinner was complete.... More

Loved this place. Everything is fresh and organic. Lots of Tapas. Can get half orders. Heavenly coffee and homemade ice cream to end a great meal. This is a don't miss. Friendly staff and very flexible and accommodating.

The Cellar is 'big' city food found in a smaller town. People come to Corning largely to visit the Corning Museum of Glass. They should also plan to make reservations at The Cellar and enjoy a fantastic meal. Whether you share small tapas plates or enjoy an entree you'll have a fantastic meal. Plus their wine list is so extensive,... More

We expected excellent food on our trip to NY. But we expected to find it in NYC, not Corning! This was one of the best meals on our entire trip. The wine selection is huge. We never ordered an entree because the tapas were so good. If you order nothing else, you have to try the lamb pops! We ordered... More
