We had a relatively early dinner with good friends on a Friday evening. We ordered drinks and a French Margaux to complement our dinner. All of us had seafood, which was thoroughly enjoyed. Our waitress took superb care of us and we ended up spending roughly four hours talking. Fortunately... read more

Well-appointed space, wide selection on menu, good wine list. Service was just right -- attentive but not pushy. Sea bass and Arctic char were perfectly cooked, accompanied by crisp green beans, one with mashed potatoes and the other with unusual quinoa. Portions generous but not too much. Beautifully presented. Recommend highly!

Five of us ate here for dinner. The decor is quirky. Yes it has table cloths and heavy tableware, but it is an industrial space that has been painted, it is all hard surfaces, it is comfortable but not "elegant". Service was terrific. Our server was cheerful, helpful, efficient and professional. She knew the food and the wines. The house... More

After our terribly disappointing dinner at The Cellar, my wife and I wanted to stop somewhere along Market Street for a glass of wine and to re-invigorate our opinion of Corning dining. First we stopped at Tony R's to see if the piano player above the entry door was still playing. No, just missed him, he ended at 9PM. Had... More

We dined at The Three Birds for the first time. This is located in the gaffer district with convenient parking behind the buliding. We had high hopes for this establishment. We started the dinner with a couple of martinis. It was passable, but not prepared as well as we hoped. The cocktail was not really cold, and was obvious that... More

I lived in the southern tiers area for 3 years and went to this place with friends every other month. We found it out unexpectedly when one night the place we wanted to go to was too busy to seat us. This restaurant is a real gem on the street, very modern, bustling with locals, energetic, elegant and sophisticated. Yes... More

My fiancé and I come here every now and then for dates. Tonight we chose Three Birds again and weren't disappointed. We both decided on the soup of the day for our appetizer. It was a sour apple and Brie soup... Out of this world. For our dinners we decided on a shrimp pasta dish and the special, Escalar. The... More

Excellent food, attentive service, an imaginative menu, and only a little on the pricey side. We split the quail appetizer, and then had the honey & lime salmon and the duck entrees -- all were excellent. Good by-the-glass wine choices, which doesn't happen often enough in restaurants of this quality. Just enough separation of the bar from the dining area... More

We were visiting family in New York. They are somewhat local, know this restaurant and chose it. The menu had ample selections. Each of us enjoyed our entrees which ranged from steak to shrimp. Tiramisu for dessert was yummy. Pricing was definitely on the high side. The wine list was good, but I expected a greater selection being so close... More

On Market Street, close to the Corning Radisson Hotel, Three Birds is a local treat that draws a large crowd every evening that it is open. The prices are a bit higher than its neighbors, but then its staff tries a bit harder to make their menu interesting and comprehensive. Well done.
