Don't be fooled by the name -- this is a class place!

Hubby and I had dinner here Friday night. The front desk at our hotel recommended it and boy, was she right! Great atmosphere and terrific service! Cordial without being cloying. But the best part was the food. The chowder was amazing -- a bit unusual but absolutely delicious. I had the... read more

The food was just ok for the price. I did expect much more and for it be to more flavorful. The salmon was just missing seasoning, but the pasta (penne) was cooked perfectly. Could stand to upgrade their wine. The steamers were not good. At all. Mealy and fishy. Sent them back with no problem, even came off the bill.... More

I was excited to go to this restaurant for the reviews and had wanted to try the lobster lasagna. First off didn't get off to a good start. Felt the owner ignored us after we stated we had reservations. She immediately then turned away from us to engage in a conversation with regular patrons of hers about personal matters. After... Husband and I went here our first night in Cooperstown after reading reviews. It's a little expensive, but the food was incredible. His Lobster Lasagna was so tasty, served in a oven safe crock. I got the salmon with ponzu noodles. First time in a while I've had perfectly cooked salmon, not overdone. The little puffed pastries they served to... More

This was a family event before my Godson's wedding. I understand that this is where the local foodies go and I certainly agree with their choice!! There were four of us at our table and we started by sharing fabulous steamed little neck clams - done to perfection. I am usually disappointed as most times they are "way over cooked"... More

If you want to avoid the typical summer fare of burgers, hot dogs and pizza, go to the Yum Yum Shack. We found good food that is comparable to restaurants in well-known suburbs - definitely unpretentious as it should be - but great food for parents who want to eat well. Kid friendly too but really, parents, enjoy yourself.

Friends had suggested we stop in so we did . We weren't that hungry and the portions on other tables were very big and attractive. We satisfied ourselves and split several appetizers stuffed mushroom caps, ahi tuna and calamari . All were good.

May have just chosen the wrong dish. Shrimp and scallop fettuccine was bland. Not a good selection of wines by the glass either. Others enjoyed their meals, including the lobster lasagna. Pretty good lemon drop martini.

Vicki, our hostess at the Phoenix Inn bed and breakfast, recommended this place. No reservation but we got seats immediately and the service stayed prompt and friendly. Meals were generous and tasty, an interesting blend of Asian and other cuisines. The menu was very diverse and creative, and we each enjoyed our meals.

The waitress was not friendly, she didn't even want to seat us. When we did sit down, every time the waitress walk by us she just looked like she was mad, when one asked her a question she would not even respond. My little granddaughter smiled at her & said hi waitress just gave her a dirty look. By this... More
