Our black bean burgers were cooked to perfection and enhanced the best part of any time spent at The Hawkeye. Lake Otsego's spectacular presence is in view, making it a part of the meal's enjoyment.

This place is "OK". It would not be my first choice of restaurants in Cooperstown, but after all the other good places are exhausted I might go here. Food choices are good. Nothing special, though. No particular meal sticks out here. The service is pretty good. The biggest plus is the location. It's nice to get out to the edge... More

The food here is your typical clubhouse food. Fish Tacos were tasteless, chili was lukewarm and no taste. My wife's special (Ahi Tuna) was very good. Better to just have a drink at the bar.

The Grill was such a disappointment for lunch especially as the Otesaga Hotel is glorious. The menu is disappointing; the food average....nothing special. While the staff is professional and friendly, the Grill lacks enough to rate the service as it once was. It is not the staffs fault, rather management. Hopefully the management will increase staff, including the kitchen staff,... More

We went this past weekend (August 22, 2014) to Cooperstown for the Glimmerglass Opera Festival. It was suggested that we eat in the Otesaga Hotel. We chose the Hawkeye Bar & Grill downstairs. The food was superb...the service was excellent and the view of the lake spectacular (even thru the rain). I had one of their deluxe hamburgers ....and it... More

We got a little nervous as we approached. The restaurant is in a very swanky resort and we were not dressed formally. But there are two parts to the grill --upscale and more casual. We sat on the outside patio overlooking Otsego Lake, it was lovely. We also noticed a circular fire pit bar which we did not go to... More

We used to look forward to dinner on the terrace on a summer evening here. But last year was very disappointing and this year was worse. My major complaint is the SLOW SERVICE. This visit we had been seated 40 minutes before our drinks arrived, an hour before salads arrived, 90 minutes before mains were served. This would not have... More

We ate dinner there. Service excellent. Food wonderful. Excellent wine choices. A leisurely experience. We also enjoyed a nightcap in the bar. Try the Abner Doubleday!

We had an enjoyable meal at the Hawkeye Grill. What an amazing view and great ambiance. We found the menu to be reasonably priced for the type of establishment. Service was excellent, although a little slow with the delivery of the food and dessert. But, we were not in a hurry and we were able to relax and enjoy a... More

Decided to try the Hawkeye Bar & Grill after a matinee opera at Glimmerglass and it was excellent! The food was great, the view, beautiful, the atmosphere, very pleasant and after an early dinner we walked the beautiful cared for grounds. Had a great evening, I wish I knew about it before going to other places, I would have come... More
