It took awhile to find the restaurant in the boatyard. It could use a little sprucing up as the mold and mildew were in the porch and canvas covering. Our waiter was excellent and very helpful. I thought the tuna appetizer was pretty pricey for the amount you received. The appetizer was $14 which I thought was way too much.... More

I was quite surprised at the quality of this lakeside ( I do mean very lakeside) restaurant where I didn't expect to find gourmet fare. I started with Lobster in a fill dough wrap on a bed of lettuce. Then came the large portion of rack of lamb set under grilled asparagus. The selection of desserts was the perfect ending... More

The food at The Blue Mingo was great and the view is fabulous!! In addition, we were both really impressed with the waitresses, who not only knew the food on the menu, but double-checked ingredients for me and shared the history of the lake!

A must go to restaurant in Cooperstown. I am from North Jersey and this was one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at. At first, when we pulled up it was a store front and I did not even know if there was a restaurant. But two ladies were standing outside and I asked if there is a... More

May be the nicest lake front restaurant I've ever visited. Food quality matched the atmosphere and our server was knowledgable and friendly. I can't wait to go back. An unforgettable evening. Thank you Blue Mingo!

The Blue Mingo Grill is one of our favorite spots in the Cooperstown area. The restaurant sits right on the shores of Lake Otsego and is open only in the summer months. The menu is varied with sandwiches, burgers and fries plus more exotic fare (Thai, etc.) + salads and flat breads. Food is excellent. Cost for lunch is reasonable.... More

First of all, the bartender, Ryan, was so great. Actually, we ate at the bar and I'm so glad we did. He made everything perfect! We loved it! And secondly, the food was a treat. We'll be back!

I found this place on Trip Advisor plus friends in NC had recommended it. It can be hard to find the first time you go, but worth doubling back for. Drive past the boats to the entrance to the restaurant. Enter through a great gift shop (spent a little too much here, but such cute things!). Next enter a nice,... More

The view is the best thing about the Mingo...across beautiful Otsego lake to Kingfisher Tower. The food is very good and the service generally good, although they don't split checks or go out of their way to accommodate requests. Not very vegetarian or gluten free friendly. We don't eat there for dinner unless off the bar menu, as dinner is... More
