This was our third visit to the Grill in as many trips to Cooperstown. The restaurant is on the lake north of the town and tucked away among the dockyards of businesses servicing pleasure craft. It doesn't get more "local color" than that. Service was prompt and the food delicious and not especially overpriced though it was high season. You... More

Our group of 13 came here for a reprieve from the busy-ness of the All Star baseball schedule. The view on the water was outstanding. (Perfect conditions gave us a double rainbow.) The food was average. Varied menu selections. Wait staff was very good.

We thought a 5:30 reservation would be safe for a 7:30 curtain at Glimmerglsass Opera, just a few miles up the road. But the Grill was very crowded with like-minded folk, who had come earlier, and so we had to leave without testing for dessert. The food we had, a full rack for me, was generous and well prepared, more... More

Came across restaurant on Google, so decided to stop for lunch before leaving Cooperstown. Loved sitting outside right on Lake Otsego. Waiter was wonderful - friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. We enjoyed the local beers, and we all had delicious and hearty sized lunches. Prices may have been a tad high, but the meal experience was worth every penny.

This is a small oasis in Cooperstown. The peaceful view of the lake is a great setting for dinner on the patio or lake level. The salmon was fresh and mildly seasoned as was the swordfish. The dessert was ok. There's no fancy coffee. Just regular and decaf. Price was certainly reasonable.

The view was great, but crab cakes had no taste. Clam chowder was good. There wasn't much to my salad. And pretty pricey for lunch for two of us with no drinks.

Had a good experience the first time we went, therefore decided to go back. Unfortunately the quality of food went down and the prices way up. The clam chowder soup was good. We tried the crab cakes, but they were mostly bread crumbs. The scallops were swimming in a cream sauce. I guess I did not read about the sauce,... More

Enjoyed sitting on the terrace with view of Lake Otsego, though a rain storm came through just as we finished. A busy place, so service was earnest but food a bit slow to arrive. Quality of food was above average but no wow-factor. Nice to have local beers on tap.....

Two of us stopped by for lunch on a rainy Tuesday. We had no reservation but were seated right away by the rather grumpy hostess. From then on, lunch was a delight. Our super friendly server got us menus and water right away and, in no time, we had ordered a cup of chowder (SO good I was sorry I... More
