Pricey but yummy

Overall the restaurant is a great atmosphere right on the lake. The menu is presented on a big chalk board and seems to change based on what is available. As long as that is ok with you the food was great and the sefvice was good. My only comment is that it was a little pricey when compared to... read more

This place is the best spot in town. The view over the lake is beautiful and the staff was top notch. Nonetheless, the food is what will bring us back each time we are in town.

During our baseball-stay, we visited the Blue Mingo for a birthday lunch/dinner. Food was decent, but nothing phenomenal. The views were amazing, as we sat outside by the docks.

Excellent lakeside dining with a menu that doesn't disappoint for steak and seafood loving pallets...the meats are selected from local farms too. We started off with the tuna nachos platter then moved into a entree of mahi-mahi and capped it off with creme brûlée and key lime custard. There were at least 10 desserts to choose from! Wait staff was... More

The Blue Mingo Grill is off the beaten path - about 3+ miles north of Cooperstown at a marina on Otsego Lake. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and, being boat nerds, it was perfect for us. The porch area has a great view of the lake. For dinner, the menu arrives tableside on a chalkboard - while some items... More

This nice gift shop and restaurant is tucked away in a lakeside marina. The food was very good as was the service. The atmosphere could not be beat. We sat at a table right down next to the lake and it was peaceful and beautiful. All of the seating is outside. Either on the porch or down on the ground.... More

The food was delicious, the servers friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was fun. Adding to the fun, is the view. The restaurant is right on the lake. We asked a local where we should eat. Cooperstown is filled with many restaurants, but she said without hesitation, Blue Moon. We were very glad she did. Reservations are suggested, especially during... More

This restaurant has such potential. You know you are in trouble when your lovely server has to apologize 15 times for the awful service. Food mediocre as well. One bartender so your drinks arrive when you are finished with your meal. Location is amazing, but try another place to dine in lovely Cooperstown.

We were told by friends that this was a great place, and now I can confirm it. A bit out of the way (you have to drive through an old boatyard to get to it on the shore of Lake Otsego), but well worth the effort to find it. Terrific atmosphere (if you like lakeside ambiance), great (and I can't... More

The food was okay. Ordered the pasta and crab cakes. The prices are almost double for what you pay at the restaurants on Main Street, and those places have better tasting food. You pay through the nose to have dinner at the very few places on the lake.
