Heard great reviews over the years and finally had a chance to try it. This time of year, they are only open Thursday - Sunday. We were there in between lunch and dinner and ordered off the bar menu. Snacked on the flatbread pizza of the day with the local beer Rare Vos by Ommegang! The establishment is a cute... More

the Blue Mingo was recommended to use by a friends sister-in-law who lives in Cooperstown. We ate lunch on warm Monday afternoon. It is kind of hidden from the road as you have to look for the "Sam Smiths Boatyard" sign. Parking is at a premium in the lot behind the boatyard, but as we left after lunch we found... More

Please, and thank you. It is a really easy process, all it requires is a paring knife and a little time.

Food was not exceptional as one would expect for the cost. Meals(dinner) ranged from $26.00 to $33.00 the night we were there. Five of us cost $184.00(tax tip incl) with no drinks, just water. Blackboard menu only. Service was good. View of the lake from seating was good. Building is a bit beaten down but acceptable for the atmosphere. Road... More

We came for our annivesary on a recommendation from somebody else, and we weren't disappointed. The view was spectacular, the weather was sunny there was boats on the lake. Everything was perfect. The food was good, good beer and wine. Very relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be back soon.

Make an early-evening reservation to enjoy a beautiful view of Otsega Lake. All seating is lakefront and food is delicious! Our second time there and would would easily go back. You can even rent a boat next door before settling into a peaceful dinner.

The night we were there they had a guest chef that specialized in Thai food. I took advantage of that with some Porkbelly Popsicles for an appetizer and Pad Thai for an entree. My wife went for their regular fare with steak, fingerling potatoes and purple carrots.

This is an absoluely charming restaurant right on the water over-looking beautiful Otsego Lake. The atmosphere is laid-back abd casual, but the food is more more than that. Locally sourced, with the freshed ingredients is their Mantra and they deliver with great food. The dinner menu changes frequently and the specials are listed daily on the larger blackboard.

After having spent a relaxing afternoon out on the lake in a boat we decided to stop here for a late dinner. We did not have reservations which are recommended, so we were very happy being seated in the bar area with a table next to a huge window overlooking Otsego Lake. If seated in the bar, you are given... More

We both had the lobster salad - my husband on a roll & me on lettuce. It was fantastic!!! Lots of lobster & not too much mayo. Service was friendly. Very popular place on the lake, so plan ahead.
