Not what I was expecting when I walked in--from the exterior, I expected a quaint restaurant with tablecloths and floral-printed dishes. Instead, I found eclectic decor, staff just on the good side of hip, and an ambiance that welcomed everyone from baseball families (if your kids will eat more than just burgers & dogs) to middle-agers out on dates. It's... More

We dined here with our kids over a November weekend when most of the town was shut down. This place was a great find -- warm and cozy with a friendly ambience. The menu was good and the beer and wine choices were interesting, especially the Ommegang brewery selections. Seemed like a place I would hang out if I lived... More

We were in Cooperstown this past weekend and had the good fortune to come across this place about ten minutes after checking In to our room. The restaurant has a couple cozy dining areas and is decorated nicely. For dinner we enjoyed a very nice Caesar salad and shared a few selections from the menu. Ribs were the highlight from... More

We visited Cooperstown recently, and had dinner at Alex & Ika's for our anniversary. The menu appeared quite ecclectic, and had what I thought was going to be, a sort of indian-tinge to some of the dishes. I ordered the arugula salad, which was fresh, and medium-sized. My wife had the house salad with balsamic dressing, which was quite ordinary.... More

Thank you so much for your comments. We are always saddened when a customer’s dining experience is not what was expected. It sounds like you were looking for more exotic fare than you received. You mention that our menu is wide ranging. We do that because not every customer likes to be challenged with every meal. We offer some “comfort”... More

Penne Alfredo with little shrimp, arugula, prosciutto perfect temperature, generous sauce (had to ask for bread to sop up sauce ???) friendly service but slow due to "early seating" with one waitress who has been with company for few years. Italian bread would be nice but eclectic menu so no theme other than fusion cuisine. Ambiance allowed for conversation and... More

Been here about four or five times now and never disappointed. Lovely warm and welcoming little place, dark wood, quirky, very friendly and helpful staff, and good quality drinks / wine. They sell the local Ommegang brewery beers, and a decent wine list (go for the $34 Malbec, or the Californian chardonnay). Food portions are good, and it's tasty, very... More

The owner of the B&B where we stayed recommended A & I. We arrived a little late in the evening, but they were still busy. We got a table fairly quickly. We had fish & chips and fish tacos. They were both good. The special of the day was gone when we arrived. The restaurant is small, but mirrors on... More

We were told to "give A&I a try" and enjoyed it. A bit pricey for Cooperstown, but unusual food, well prepared. Our table of four tried fish, duck, and pork, and enjoyed all three (the duck was left off the order, but a complimentary glass of wine, and no reason to hurry while we waited for the dish, made all... Located in a tucked away alley off Main St., it's entrance is intriguing. Accommodating service, friendly staff and pleasant environment. Sat near a table of local physicians enjoying an end of day meal. The fried fish we ordered was crispy, fresh and delicious.

This would have been 5 stars if not for the issue I encountered. The location is on main street near our hotel. The entrance is off the adjacent driveway even thought the store front does not look all that excititng. The service was friendly and efficient. The ambience was very nice. My wife had the salmon which she thoroghly enjoyed.... More
