Description: The Doubleday Cafe is open year round, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner...
The Doubleday Cafe is open year round, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. We offer a chalk board of specials for all three meals. With seating of about 70, we also offer a fine selection of beer, wine and top shelf liquors. Our goals are to serve the freshest food, along with the best service, at the most reasonable prices. The Doubleday celebrated it's 20th anniversary in 2011.

Solid lunch spot

I have been here for lunch quite a few times. I've had everything from a chicken sandwich, to the crabcake sandwich, to the steak sandwich. They have daily specials on a board in addition to the regular menu. The service is usually quick, and the food is good, especially for the price. I really... read more

If you know what you want and want to be served good quality food, this is where you go. The broccoli chowder soup was phenomenal, spices in it made me feel all warm and fuzzy. We had the pastrami sandwich and goulash with beef. The food was great, and staff was knowledgable of what was in their food. The cook... More

My fiancé and I went in here for lunch during our day trip to Cooperstown! It was absolutely wonderful. This place had a great atmosphere. A nice bar with a lot of selections. The waitress was very caring about my fiancé food allergy. They had a wonderful selection for those gluten free. The service was fast and friendly. I highly... More

A neat spot along Main St, just blocks from the Baseball Hall of Fame. Comfort food plus imaginative cooking via blackboard specials. Local brews. Comfortable, local scene. We get there at least once daily when we're in town.

We ordered a burger and a turkey club sandwich. The burger was tasty but small. The club also was tasty and was a decent portion. We felt the prices were a little high for a not-so-fancy burger joint. Our waitress was efficient but was definitely not personable/friendly.

Friendly joint, where all the locals go. Relaxed atmosphere, with a lot of TVs on. Like having breakfast in a bar(hey that's fun!) Food is good, and reasonable prices.

Went to the Doubleday Café for lunch. The menu had so many options that all diners could find something they'd enjoy. The waitress was friendly, profession and prompt. Clearly, locals enjoy the Doubleday Café! I had the Creamy Tomato Basil soup first. It was just that, creamy and delicious. Then I had the vegetarian wrap with hummus, and veggies including... More

Stopped in for lunch after we were done visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame. Good food, nice atmosphere. A good value when you are in downtown Cooperstown.

I have eaten here 3-4 times over the year, always for a late lunch after visiting the Hall of Fame. There is a good selection of options - both food and beer - and it is family friendly. Some of the offerings are far better than others, so my suggestion would be to not venture too far afield and stick... More
