Since the shops in cooperstown are small because there isn't much room...some spots of the cafe can be a little squeeze! Ask to sit towards the back! Not the front. The food is very very good. Hamburger great taste. Grilled chicken sandwhich is fanatic! Fries are too! And deserts, holy! Great! Ask for specials. If I were to go back... More

Food was good, service was good. The atmosphere was just fine. If you're looking for a simple meal - like burger and a beer, this is your spot.

The food here is good. The place is jumping, with many people eating at the same time. It's basic food, but the wait is short, and it is friendly and easy.

my wife had a chicken quesadilla which was quite tasty. I had the taco salad with beef. For the price, and I am used to NJ prices, there was very little beef. Busy place, good bar. Open later than some other places, close by.

What I wanted off the specials menu, they ended up being out of it. So I just ordered a cheeseburger. It came out very over done, crispy. I know not to send food back to any cook, so i suffered through it. Although not terribly busy, the service was slow. My server didn't seem particularly interested in me, I was... More

We started both days in Cooperstown at the Doubleday Café. The breakfasts were very good and reasonably priced.

I've been coming to Cooperstown once a year with my father for over 10 years, and Doubleday Cafe is (and has been) undoubtedly my favorite spot to eat. This is not to discredit the other spots in town, Doubleday simply is the most enjoyable. There is great menu variety for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner with dozens of new specials each... More

I've ben coming to DD cafe for many years and the food is consistently good, with the operative word being consistent. The servers are fast and friendly to visitors as well as locals, and if you follow the old adage, "ea t where the locals eat," this is one of the best places in Cooperstown for a full breakfast with... Great little spot for lunch. A fun menu with a Mexican flair. Prompt and friendly service. The quesadillas were yummy.

We strolled down here to take a break from our Hall of Fame visit. The atmosphere was warm and friendly on a rainy Saturday afternoon and the soups, sandwiches, and desserts were well prepared and delicious. Friendly service with just the right amount of attentiveness. Wish we lived close enough to return!
