Nothing special but the title says it all. Service was also good. Right on main street--as is everything else in C'town.

We went for breakfast because the free continental breakfast offered at our motel was awful. At 8 am, there are only two places in town that are open for breakfast. The other, the Cooperstown Diner, was very small and already crowded. The Doubleday Cafe was a better choice because it was larger, more comfortable, had a friendly neighborhood atmosphere and... On a busy afternoon, we were seated quickly. Service was very good, not rushed. Food was excellent, with a wide variety of choices.

We took a break from the Hall of Fame for lunch. Nice menu selection. Friendly wait staff and quick too!

Went here for lunch during our visit to hall of fame. Ordered tuna sandwiches which was NOT albacore as advertised and the chicken wrap was with dark meat. My son could not eat it and changed to a hot dog and fries which wasn't any better! There were other restaurant choices on main street so I would pass on this.... More

A drive thru Cooperstown around the lunch hour, led us to the Doubleday Cafe. I had not read any of the reviews for this cafe so I went in for a business lunch, blind of TripAdvisor reviews. So with that said, I do not regret going there. First off, if you're looking for a diner at lunch time, get here... More

We arrived 10 minutes before they stopped serving their dinner menu. Many restaurants would have turned us away, but not the Doubleday Café! They graciously seated us and served us from their full menu. The food was absolutely fantastic!! Definitely a must-stop if you are visiting Cooperstown!

I dined here for lunch recently and honestly the food was ok, nothing special. I had a cheeseburger and my son had the chicken fingers. My biggest complaint was that they rushed us thru the meal and it was mid afternoon. I mean as soon as I took the last bite of food they said would you like dessert or... More

We stopped here for lunch before heading home from a weekend in Cooperstown. We chose it because our hotel (Baseball Town Hotel) gave us $10 in gift certificates for the Doubleday Cafe'. We were more than pleased with our experience. Good food, good atmosphere, average prices. It was our best meal in Cooperstown all weekend. We walked in to a... More
