Friendly joint, where all the locals go. Relaxed atmosphere, with a lot of TVs on. Like having breakfast in a bar(hey that's fun!) Food is good, and reasonable prices.

Went to the Doubleday Café for lunch. The menu had so many options that all diners could find something they'd enjoy. The waitress was friendly, profession and prompt. Clearly, locals enjoy the Doubleday Café! I had the Creamy Tomato Basil soup first. It was just that, creamy and delicious. Then I had the vegetarian wrap with hummus, and veggies including... More

Stopped in for lunch after we were done visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame. Good food, nice atmosphere. A good value when you are in downtown Cooperstown.

I have eaten here 3-4 times over the year, always for a late lunch after visiting the Hall of Fame. There is a good selection of options - both food and beer - and it is family friendly. Some of the offerings are far better than others, so my suggestion would be to not venture too far afield and stick... More

Stayed in the area for 8 days discover the cafe on day 2 and eat there everyday until we left. The breakfadt is great. The lunch outstanding their burgers are wonderful. The staff worked so hard trying to accommodate the rush from all the baseball tournaments going on.

Stopped in this Cafe, not too far from the Hall of Fame 2 days before the New Year and it was pretty packed up. I am guessing because there was no school and maybe the Museums had things going on for the kids. I am sure being in the heart of Downtown Cooperstown this cafe does plenty of business in... More

After spending several hours up the road at the Baseball Hall of Fame, the Doubleday Café was a cozy place to stop for a break while wandering main street. The food was fantastic (really good burgers) and the service pleasant, friendly and unrushed. They catered really well with food allergies and substitutions.

This place is on main street in the home of baseball. Small, but lots happen there. Nice little bar with lots of local beer selections. Nice menu with daily specials. Historic general store converted into a restaurant. Great burgers, sandwiches and dinners. Breakfast is also great. Service is up close and friendly. Great tasting, and liberal portions. We eat there... More

I have been here for breakfast and for lunch. It's always been slow service, and okay food. The tables are close together and there isn't any sound proofing, so when it's crowded it can be noisy. The prices seem high for the portions.
