Description: Ommegang is hard to pronounce but easy to find. Located just five miles south of Cooperstown, NY, our farmstead brewery is open year-round for daily tours and tastings. An intimate walking tour puts you right on the brew floor amidst the sights and sounds of Belgian-style brewing in action. Our tour guides will help you discover how superior ingredients and time-honored methods like open fermentation and warm cellaring produce better tasting beer. But don´t take our word for it, taste them for yourself. In addition to free tours, inexpensive tastings of our six award-winning Belgian-style ales are available. Afterwards, stay for a meal at Café Ommegang. The café offers a full menu of Belgian-inspired cuisine plus more Ommegang beers as well as Duvel imports from Belgium. Relax with a picnic lunch or toss the Frisbee on our beautiful 136-acre brewery grounds. Ommegang has special events all year long, including the “Belgium Comes to Cooperstown” beer festival in August, athletic events, holiday events, family events, cultural events, and a summer concert series. Handicapped parking, entry and toilets available. Group tours available. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Years Day

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the brew bistro. Had a decided Belgien touch, with different glasses for different beers and a Belgien-esque menu. We sat at the bar and the servers were a happy bunch. They truly enjoyed thier jobs. We sat next to some locals who also commented how well they were treated. It is refreshing to see business... More

I've wanted to visit Ommegang for a couple years as Hennepin is one of my favorite beers. We live about 3 hours away but were going to make a trip to Howe Cavern anyway and decided to bite the bullet and drive a bit further. It's off the beaten path for sure. Food was surprisingly extremely delicious! Nice couple notches... More

Went there on a Saturday at 2:00. It took almost 2 hours to get our meals served. At one point we asked how much longer it would be, we were told that this was Saturday & it's always like this. When I finally got my meal, my spinach & cheese crepe had no cheese, it was basically a cooked spinach... More

I discovered the Ommegang beer while at a restaurant in Cooperstown and I fell in love with the Abby Ale. I went for a beer tasting visit to the Brewery and found it very nice and just happened to find another good beer called the Three Philosophers. Had to buy some for at home.

The big reason we went to Cooperstown was to visit the Brewery Ommegang. We were not disappointed. The brewery is modeled after a Belgian Farmhouse and is on the most lovely piece of land. After a quick tour, we had a wonderful tasting of 6 different beers with treats from the kitchen such as house made mustards and jellies with... More

We sat on the patio with a group of 12 parents and kids on the last day of our Cooperstown Dreams Park experience. Sample a flight of 3 beers and go for the Chicken Sandwich. A must order are the French Fries, kids didn't like the designer ketchup, but chipotle and garlic dips were unbelievable. We didn't do the brewery... More

We last visited 13 years ago and what a different place it is today! The tour then required walking over hoses and other equipment and the tasting bar was a piece of plywood. Today this place is huge, organized, and ready for the tourists. We went for a late lunch (this place closes around 6pm). The beer, as always was... More

Lovely place. Food is good. Tour isn't really worth your time - perfunctory look into two buildings. But the tasting!!! The best. Costs $3 and you get a lovely 2 1/2 ounce glass to keep. 6 samples in that glass, and they come fast!!
