Although it's been 2 months since we visited Cooperstown, I would not forget to write a review of our lunch experience at the Pioneer Restaurant. One word...OUTSTANDING! If you travel to experience what you expect at home, then stay home! Traveling means experiencing and expecting something different ...with an open mind! The alley location...charming! The decor...eclectic and inviting. Service and... More

We were told by locals to go here and the food was just not good. Tasted like it had sat around awhile and wasnt fresh. On the other hand our server was very friendly and accomodating!

Outdoor atmosphere on a sunny day was a delight. Staff was friendly, food was good, fair pricing for a tourist area. Don't forget to get an ice cream cone on the way out.

This little alleyway restaurant has a nice menu and quick service. We ate outside next to one of several outdoor heaters - always nice to dine al fresco on a Fall day. As noted by other diners, they need to upgrade their buns to hold the quantity of filling! My roast beef melt was a sodden fork food by the... More

Location is not great, literally in an alley, but they made the best of it. We had the pulled pork, a burger and a bratwurst. All were fine. The rolls were good, but a little weak to hold up to the pulled pork and the loaded bratwurst. The homemade relish on the bratwurst was great. I've eaten here four or... More

It was ok. We stopped in for a bite after the Hall of Fame. Soup, sandwiches. Cute Patio but as it was a little cool we opted for inside. Clean, fast, personable service.

Went here for lunch last weekend. A little pricier for beer than some other places. German food selection was tasty. I think the side of potato chips is a little low budget but my group of 3 still enjoyed. My son eats a lot of burgers and said this place had one of the better ones he's had.

Went to Cooperstown this past weekend and enjoyed a nice light meal with a few beers. Staff was terrific and the owner made us feel at home. Have stopped here in the past and liked what they did to "gussy" up the interior. Clean, airy, and a lovely patio. So what if it's in the alley. Hell I like alleys... More

My Wife and I had a great lunch here last Wednesday. athe service was fast and the food was prepared exactly as ordered. The owner and staff were very friendly and personable. The restaurant is off Main Street, and is probably missed by many Cooperstown visitors. The fact that this restarant is ranked 27th in the area is a shame, and... More

We ate because they had gluten free! we had been looking for a place to have a nice lunch but not much existed that provided gluten free. Very happy to find this place, although I was not very optimistic, gluten free bread/buns are usually dry and tasteless (kinda like eating cardboard) I ordered the ruben and fries, my husband had...
