Convenient location, good prices

After a long drive, we sought a light dinner and The Pit didn't dissapoint. I had a bowl of chili, which was pretty tasty. My bride enjoyed a BLT (which wasn't on the menu). One of their Saturday specials was lobster, which we would hope to try on a futue Saturday. The restaurant, which is... read more

My family and I have had many meals at "The Pit" over the years. It is well decorated, clean, the staff incredibly friendly, ideal for large groups with kids. The menu is fairly simple, appetizers, several sandwiches, chicken dishes, but the portions are large and delicious and the prices are great. It is centrally located so you can walk to... More

We went for an early lunch. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the prices were perfect. The atmosphere was definitely cool and relaxed. It was a great place to eat without spending a lot before a day of activities.

We took an old friend here for lunch. I had not been here in twenty years and we were very pleased. We all had the Soup/salad and sandwich special, inexpensive and very good. It is close to the Baseball Hall of Fame. I will return.

Like most of the food in Cooperstown this is just average. It's clean and they are friendly so that is a plus.

The draft beer selection needs work for being in a stones throw of the Brewery Ommegang. We had the Albany Style wings which were huge, had crispy skin and moist meat. Not bad for $8. They make their own burgers which is a plus. Their chili is decent. The prices are pretty decent, not sure why people would peg this... More

We ate here two nights. Some of the best food I've ever eaten!! Everything my husband and I had was so tasty! My fav was the Harvest salad, maple sweet potatoes, gumbo to name a few! (Ok, hubby did not like creamed spinach.) Give it a try! !

Good food, friendly people, and casual. Like being at home. Wish they had just a few more drink selections in the bar but, it serves the purpose. Frequented by "locals" which is always a good sign.

Had lunch here with friends before going to Baseball Hall of Fame. Food & service were good, nothing special, but certainly just fine for lunch.
