Sunday Brunch - Not Your Usual Sunday Outing

I love the woodsy feel which creates a cozy atmosphere, reminiscent of lounging fireside après ski. Of course the food here is far and above what you would get at most if not all après ski destinations. We've never had a bad meal and love the chefs creativity.

X Restaurant has always had a good reputation and has been my list of places to go. It turned out better than that. Set in what appears to be an old farmhouse or roadside inn that is well appointed with fireplaces we were treated to excellent service and one of the best dinners we've experienced. Starting with our appetizers we... More

The restaurant has a nice continental menu with several daily specials. The French Onion soup was one of the best I've had. All entrees were well prepared and presented with panache. Food quality is well above average and the service is very efficient. Good desserts, but not exceptional. Coffee served was not hot. Would highly recommend, however.

I did no like the food at all, completely flavorless. I was expecting a delicious menu, comparing it with regular menu, but I was very disappointed. It seems like everything was cooked in advance and in huge quantities. No the same quality I have tried before.

If you want great food and lots of it try the Sunday brunch at Restaurant X. They just keep serving you food , one thing after the other, and the best is it's not huge portions so you get to eat everything they bring. Go with a group, lots of fun.

We used OpenTable to visit this restaurant for the first time as a pre-holiday treat to our daughter after months of planning many lifetime events. The staff on the phone as well as in person was not as friendly as one might expect for a top-rated place as this. We were escorted to a table centered in the entrance to... More

I had been to Peter Kelly's Xaviers and the Freelance Café had wonderful meals. Restaurant X was not in the same league. Maybe it was the brunch. Lots of food. I would guess that we had 30 plus dishes. Some of them were good and some pretty bad. I would say that of the 30 plus dishes at least five... More

So for the good points... The menu is creative and interesting and good. The butternut squash soup was a big hit as well as the duck. The chicken dish and pop overs was a 50/50 split. Some of us loved them and some of us found them a bit boring. The red snapper special was lacking in flavor although the... More

We go often and have never been disappointed. Only one thing we miss: the mushroom soup they used to have years back. We enjoy every morsel each time we go.
