Restaurant X has fine food, very good service and a lovely wine list. We caught one of their three course meal specials, which turned the evening into a bargain also.
The Sunday brunch at Restaurant X is great value for the money. Multiple courses mean you need to pace yourself. Be sure to take small portions of the muffins/breads, fruit, etc. to be sure you have room for the lamb chops, shrimp, roast beef, etc that came later in the meal.
Bully Boy and restaurant X has been one of the finest restaurants in this area for decades for a reason. Good food and fine service makes this a destination restaurant. Everything works well in this old standby.
Stringy lobster "special" Generally a very good place to eat but not on our most recent visit. My wife and I ordered the Thursday night "special' butter poached lobster. We were disappointed. The delicate lobster flavor was almost totally masked by the thin minestrone broth. There was no butter taste at all. Poaching in the soup base overcooked the lobster... More
We went there as guests for an anniversary party therefore we can't comment on the menu or the pricing. However, the hors d'oeuvres ere endless and outstanding, the service friendly and efficient, the main course (the beef wellington was great as was the roast beef for two) seemed to be enjoyed by the guests. Based on other visits, this is... More
With no daughters to plan a party for our 40th anniversary, we decided to treat our son, his best friend, and his best friend's sweetheart to dinner at Restaurant X. We made a 5PM reservation to insure that we would not have to wait for our table. Arriving that early, we also avoided valet parking and self-parked in the parking... More
Most NYC restaurant weeks are nothing special. Instead of using them as a showcase hoping you'll come back and pay plenty, they skimp on ingredients and the choices are usually dull. Not so here. Peter Kelly has been offering s Thursday eve 3 course dinner for $35. Last night the offering was watermelon salad, butter poached lobster(1 tail, 2 claws)... More

What a nice place to eat This is another of Peter Kelly's restaurants and it lives up to the same quality as all the others. The menu is varied with a great wine list. The quality of the food is unmatched and with a great view and a working fireplace with an attentive staff you can not go wrong here.... More
Heard about Restaurant X while waiting on line for brunch at another restaurant and honestly, the food at Restaurant X is ten times better than the place we originally went to for brunch. First off, the place itself is a charming establishment with a beautiful view of the creek in the back. The staff were very nice and extremely attentive.... More
