Nola's is the only upscale eatery in downtown Clinton. While visiting my son at college, we decided to try it. Since it is the only upscale place in Clinton, it is usually packed and reservations are highly recommended. The décor is nice and the atmosphere is good. The menu was limited and it is somewhat overpriced. The wait staff is... More

We were in upper New York State and were pleaseantly pleased by the food at this restaurant. The chef's are using great local ingrieadients. It was our first time and we had fun. The food was great the service great and the room was good. You could see that this restaurant and the rest on the "row" have created the center... More

We decided to walk around Clinton NY to find a place for dinner. Our second stop was Nolas. The menu was unusual and interesting so we decided to stay. Loved the combination of ingredients they put together. Strip steak with sourcream/butter/green onion spread....delicious. Lamb shank with pumpkin mousse and sautéed spinach...lovely. The evening's special was scallops and shrimp in a... More

I'm so glad somebody finally figured out how to make a nice restaurant work in Clinton. Nola's serves local meats, which are generally cooked very nicely. I've learned to shy away from seafood, which is sometimes overcooked. The Nola Burger is always good. Their specials are usually quite good. The atmosphere is very nice; books on shelves at quieter tables... More

We live in the area and had a gift certificate to use. Went about 5:00 pm on a weeknight. We beat the dinner crowd and were seated promptly. The place is clean with nice decor and ambiance. They were out of the lobster mac n cheese so we ordered the pork belly appetizer. What a joke? We got a strip... More

This restaurant has a very nice interior space, that is both comfortable and quiet enough for couples, yet informal enough for families to feel welcome. The menu is diverse, with seafood, meat, and pasta dishes. The steak was outstanding, burgers were tasty, although the chicken didn't quite hit the mark. Excellent winelist and cocktails. Overall, it was a comfortable, relaxed,... More

Met my husband after work at Nola’s in Clinton; very unusual and most appreciated. It was a beautiful evening – we sat outside & shared a bottle of wine. He ordered the cheese plate, and it was the lobster mac & cheese for me, both starters, with a basket of warm bread / soft butter. My order was small but... More

We loved everything about Nola's - food was fantastic, service outstanding, and the decor warm and inviting - lovely! I suspect everything on Nola's unique menu is delicious; our grilled peaches/burratta salad was yummy; some in our party of four had the steak, yummy too; and my zucchini dish was great. No room for dessert but they sure looked good.... More

The food and service was wonderful. We had: haloumi and watermelon salad; the grilled peaches and burratta; thai noodles w shrimp; the cannelloni; and a chocolate peanut butter dessert. With the prosecco it was quite delicious.

Nola's is a fabulous local joint, fairly new, located in an old bookstore that was a village green staple that got put out of business by Barnes and Nobody. The restauranteurs kept many of the original bookshelves and use them to display their nice wine selection and a collection of local Clinton Potters pottery. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and... More
