Stayed 4 nights. Breakfasts and dinners superbly prepared. Menus have good variety of choices. Service and everything else top notch.

The country setting is lovely. Interesting rooms to explore waiting to be seated. The Tea Room was nicely decorated as was the table set-up. Huge selection of unique flavored tea bags. Those were the highlights. The pot of water was very warm, not hot. The cream for the scones tasted like cream cheese, not heavy whipped cream. The 3 assorted... More

Had lunch yesterday with my sisters and mother. The food and service was excellent. Everything was fresh and homemade. You could tell the cook used nothing but fresh fruits and vegetables from the cranberry cosmo I had to the turkey breast with stuffing and gravy. Our waitress went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. When ever she... More

We had a weekday dinner and sat on the front porch. Seating is limited. The outdoor dining is far enough from the roadway as not to be a distraction. The food is always good and basic American fare. I ordered a special, the ribeye steak, which was good but a bit disappointing. It's difficult to get good ribeyes today, even... More

Ahh... where to start. The water for the tea was warm at best, at the very least the water should be piping hot. The sugar cubes stayed hard through out entire cup. The second pot of water was the same. Ample flavor choice of teas to choose from. During our visit they were decorating outside our window for the holidays... More

We stayed at Inn so we were on the MAP. As result we ordered more high end fare and perhaps they do a better job with country style items likechicken pot pie and chicken with biscuits. I had the filet and it was just ok. No sear, minimal flavor not very thick. My appstizer was very good, a chicken taragon... More

Recently had dinner there with friends who were from outside the area. A request was made by one of the four dinner members in regard to a dinner menu selection. After the server checked with the chef, was informed that this would not be a problem. However, the dinner selection did not address the request. Overall, the other 3 guests... More

A very quaint and historic location to have a wonderful meal and a small step back in time. The B&B located within is like a journey back in time, and the facility is located amongst gardens and a quiet area for a leisure walk after a delicious meal. The staff are pleasant and the food exceptional. Truly a nice dining... More

For 30 years we have been staying at the Asa Ransom House, and the food has never disappointed. Love the menus, the service, the breads, the different butters, and the ambiance.

We had dinner at Asa Ransom as part of the MAP plan which is a very good value. I had the seafood chowder which was excellent but when I tasted the French Onion soup, I wished I had gotten than instead as it was the best ever. In addition to regular rolls, there were raspberry muffins which melted in your... More
