Would not come back..was our favorite place 15 years ago but now forget it. brought 8 people for dinner and was embarrassed. The baby backs (2-people ordered) were fatty and had large 3/4 inch wide bones just like louisville or regular pork. We both did NOT like the Sauce on the ribs..like someone just openeda can of red pack. Not worth... More

Yesterday was our annual Holiday outing with friends and this year we spent the day at the New York Botanical Garden (for the Holiday Train Show) in the Bronx. Afterwards we planned on having dinner and one of our group recommended Artie's. After looking at the menu and reviews on TripAdvisor we decided we would eat there. My wife and... More

I have a new 'favorite'. We come from a family that pride's ourselves with how we make conch salad. At Artie's the conch is cooked perfectly, leaving it extremely tender and cut into sizable slivers, marinated in lemon & basil, over a bed of mescaline. We also enjoyed their crab cakes, where the real crab is the dominant flavor. Their... More

What a find in Artie's! We went for lunch for my husband's birthday. The lunch portions are more than adequate. I had the filet mignon salad. Delicious! Great atmosphere and great service! We are definitely going back.

Typically, we are going to -or coming from- the airport (we live in Danbury, CT). We always try to build time in to stop at Artie's before, or after, our flight, as the food AND service are phenomenal! They accommodate special diet requests easily, and the cuisine is always top notch. On our most recent visit, we had a nice... More

If you want to eat good in a place, you eat where the locals say to eat...and on City Island the locals eat at Artie's. You're not going to get a view of the splashing waves, the city skyline or the traffic on the Whitestone or Throggs Neck - but that's not important. You go to a restaurant to eat... More

We went on a saturday night the restaurant was empty we got seated in a back room with no ac on! We had to repeatedly ask for the ac to be turned on, then our waiter informed us that the restaurant was a steak house first and a fish house next. We thought that was quite strange because we were... More
