We dined here recently and ordered only 2 appetizers for our meal. It was very delicious, unique and plenty. Fancy cocktails were imbibed and a shared desert ended the meal. Wonderful ambiance as well. A special occasion destination.

We had a wonderful pre-opera dinner at The Rose & Kettle. Amongst the four of us two choice appetizer and salads and two choice the entrees - Pork and meatloaf. Everyone was delighted with their portions (large entrée) and flavor. I felt the meal was worth the price. No room for dessert but they sounded yummy. DEFINITELY get reservations during... More

We stopped at this restaurant on the advice of the proprietor of a B&B that we stayed in. It was nice to get out of the hustle and bustle of Cooperstown and have a relaxing meal without the crowds. We were able to sit on the porch and enjoy the area while being served a delicious meal. I had the... More

For several years we've enjoyed delightful dining at the Rose and Kettle in little Cherry Valley, not far from busy Cooperstown. While the town may have seen better days, this restaurant is a little jewel. The experience begins with good bread and fresh salads. The menu features a range of choices, including their fine meat loaf, nice roast chicken, and... More

Three for dinner, all excellent. The salmon special served with corn salsa over a filled tortilla had just the right spiciness. Dinner followed by a chamber music concert in the Star Theater around the corner by the Fenimore Quartet. Excellent all around.

After sampling some one of a kind cocktails inside, we managed to get a table on the porch. What a beautiful summer night - great service, amazing food, tasty cocktails and even the weather cooperated.

My husband and brothers really enjoyed their food tonight on 7/27/27…best meatloaf EVER, they say, and my other brother had the chicken, which he liked but wish he had gotten the meatloaf after tasting it. Appetizers (crab cakes and red pear salad) were phenomenal, according to them, too. I, personally, did not eat there, even though I tried to. I... More

I was looking for a nice place to eat on our last night in Cooperstown and saw all the reviews for this restaurant were excellent so I thought we would try it. The Rose & Kettle is in Cherry Valley which is at the top of Lake Ostwego and Cooperstown is at the bottom. It took us 25 minutes to... More
