As good as any kosher deli anywhere in NYC

Tastiest pastrami I've had anywhere. All the traditional favorites can be found here. The Matzah Ball in the soup is not too dense. A bit pricey, but well worth it.

The food here is excellent. It all tastes homemade. You have to try their matzo ball soup. It's amazing!

If you can survive the traffic jam in the parking lot, this place is definitely worth a visit! It has everything your kosher deli menu could provide...and then some! The classic pickle and coleslaw are served upon seating, along with water. This place functions like a well-oiled machine. We ate lunch here twice in two days because my boyfriend loved... More

Love knishes? Pastrami ('real' and lean both available)?. Jewish Rye?. This is the place. Authentic food, ny prices, but worth every penny to me. Overstuffed deliciousness. Do not ask for any dairy projects, kosher law prohibits. You can eat in or carry out.

The matzah ball soup was wonderful - rich, flavorful broth and enormous matzah balls! We also enjoyed potato knishes, which were moist and soft inside and crunchy outside, and chicken fingers (serving of 4 was perfect for sharing). The service was wonderful, and our waiter even told us when he was breaking for lunch and who would finish serving us.

We always stop at Ben's and the food is just fine, though the chicken soup is not as rich as at Fine & Shapiro on W. 72nd St. In Manhattan, it is very good. But for what you go for, the Pastrami and Corned Beef, there is none better. The Mushroom and Barley Soup is excellent, Knishes, hot dogs, it's... More

We were looking for a place to grab a quick lunch. When we soar the sign for Ben's we decided to stop. I grew up eating this stuff and just looking at the menu brought back memories of my childhood. Did not know what to order but decided on a pastrami sandwich and potato pancakes. My wife had a bowl... More

Ordered the hot pastrami on rye. Loved every ounce of food. Had as a side dish, a potato knish. Brought back all my childhood memories of what I used to eat growing up. Well worth reliving some memories considering I don't eat this kind of food in El Paso, Texas. It satisfied my cravings.

My wife and I were back in New York to visit and we always look forward to having our corned beef and pastrami….this couldn't have been any more disappointing. While both sandwiches were nicely stuffed with meat, both the corned beef and pastrami were extremely dry. We had the same issue a few years ago in ben's at a different... More
