We came to visit our nephew at the University. We came here for lunch, because despite a lot of negative reviews, the ambiance looked great. We sat outside on their lovely front porch. It was once a beautiful home, so we overlooked the front lawn. Very relaxing. Our waitress was very good and attentive. Unfortunately it stopped there. The food... More

We have talked about going here for dinner for quite a while. I have been here for a couple of informal gatherings with snacks and drinks, but we have never gone for dinner. We started at the bar and had a couple of glasses of wine while reviewing the menu. The wine was cold, the bartender friendly and helpful ...... More

Waitress told us she would be very busy when she sat us down( after waiting for ten minutes to be seated, no hostess and staff walked by us numerous times and ignored us). She asked us if she could bring all of our appetizers and entrees out at once because " there's a 12 top" in her section also. So... More

Four of us arrived just before the dinner rush on a Friday night. All four different meals were very tasty and reasonably priced. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. The large dining room filled quickly and the tavern was filled as well. The outdoor tables were taken, it would have been a lovely summer night to dine outside on the... More

The building is lovely and historic, but the service is typically slow and the food isn't amazing and definitely not worth it at full price. Now, I usually only come here on half price appetizer night because of that. The southwest spring rolls are usually the only thing I want to come here for, they are crunchy on the outside... More

In days gone by, this restaurant was a Gentlemen's Club. There is a bowling alley in the basement and a spacious dancehall. The bar is roomy and the ceilings are made of tin. These days, the establishment is a great eatery. We stopped for lunch and enjoyed the salad and French Onion Soup. There is a great beer selection and... More

There were 4 of us for dinner and everyone ordered something different. Every meal was of poor to average quality. In particular the steak was small and very tough. It was the weekend before New Years and the restaurant was fairly empty. It was very cold in the dining room. We complained and was told that the staff was not... More

I was in town on business on Thursday night and wanted a meal that was gluten free - knowing that I'd have to scrutinize the menu choices. I came to The Club about 6:30PM for dinner. I was offered seating in the bar area or the dining area. Since I could see the bar area - with numerous little tables... More

Undercooked food and slow service. I'll be surprised if I don't end up sick. Even when I've had bad service I've always left a 20% tip, just never gone back. The woman waiting on us was lucky that I left her a 10% tip. Everything was horrible!

I went to the The Club as it was conveniently near the courthouse. The waitress recommended the French Connection, so I ordered it along with sweet potato fries. It was the best French dip I have ever had, incredibly tender and tasty. It was so good I went back the next day and ordered the very same thing, with the... More
