We live (in TN) 600 miles south and west of Casatina’s and vow to work our trips to Central NY around eating there. The food and staff are both absolutely wonderful. If the “Buffet Thing” is not to your liking, make this your destination. The menu is varied enough to offer something for most everyone, providing you like authentic Italian... More

A small but very pleasant Italian restaurant. Everything is home cooked, delicious and reasonably priced. Bring your own wine.

This is a very small place with cheap furniture but the food was very good. They are not open very late so you have to get there early. A few times we planned to have dinner there but they were closed.

My wife, daughter and I recently traveled to Canastota to see family. Prior to the trip we had google area restaurants and menus and Casatin's Italian Cafe was high on our list as must do. We arrived at 5:00 pm, unload my Mother-in-law and her wheelchair, but were stopped by the hostess before reaching the door. She told us the... More

We arrived about 4:40 pm, had just gotten my grandmother into her wheelchair, and we were greeted in the parking lot by our waitress. She began by apologizing that they were closed for the evening for a private party. My father expressed his sorrow since we flew into NY today and we were looking forward to trying their restaurant. Then... More

not much room and small menu, but very good, and desserts are out of this world. Staff very personable, but we don't go there much anymore since they stopped taking (some) credit cards.

Every meal I have had at Casatinas's is excellent! The service is great and the food is delightful. I recommend all to enjoy this fine Italian restaurant. You will not be disappointed. Stacey Sebring

The food was really good but the prices are a little high for the area. Other Italian restaurants have similar dishes for much less. None the less, we enjoyed the dinner with our friends. They were not busy so we did not feel bad lingering over coffee and dessert.

From the hot greens appetizer to the baked ziti, I enjoyed every bite. The dining area is small which makes the experience a tad cramped but very personal. I have never had a bad meal here. Try it and you'll keep coming back.

No bar but able to bring your own wine. Food was excellent and service the best. Wish they were open more hours.
