Rio was burnt out some months ago. Scheduled to reopen in old steakhouse location in town. Looking forward to that.

The food here has always been very good. The service can sometime be a little lacking. The atmosphere is nice and they just had the booths updated with new finishes. The portions are generous and prepared to order.

Great dishes from south of the boarder. This is not Taco Bell by any stretch of the imagination! Very authentic dishes and some that are very different but so so good. If your in Canandaigua and like Mexican food you have to treat yourself to Rio Tomatlan.

I like everything about Rio Tomatlan. The food is excellent, the service is great, the decor is unpretentious, yet feels authentic, and they make TAMALES!!!!

What kind of Mexican restaurant runs our of guacamole? Let me advice you that if your planning to eat here you WILL need to make reservations. We arrived on... More

I visit Mexico twice a year. Rio is as authentic as you can find in the states. I have never had a bad meal here. Great atmosphere, the biggest tequila list you will find in any restaurant.

My wife and I found this place a few years ago on one of our travels through the Finger Lakes wine region. It's tucked away on a small side street, but well worth the trip! If you're lucky, they will still have some homemade guacamole available. They make it fresh and when its gone, its gone. The chipolte chicken was... More
