Starter- calamari tasted like rubber bands. Very bad, terrible start. Too busy for too little staff. Main dish was ok, but I'm very skeptical of the reviews claiming this is consistently excellent. I find that hard to believe.

Ignore the bad reviews. I suspect they come from people who are never happy, or expect to be bludgeoned with salt, like at chain restaurants. The food here is terrific. Our first trip to Eric's was a success! The food was terrific and we particularly enjoyed the onion rings. Service was prompt and efficient, our drinks were kept refilled and our server checked on us at appropriate times. We definitely shall be returning!

Great place to stop. Clean and neat and very friendly staff. Menu had lots of choices and our waitress was very helpful in making suggestions - we made great choices. You won't be disappointed.
