Overall just sort of OK.

Three of us stopped in for some dinner before a show at CMAC. One had an excellent meal (beer battered fish), one had an average meal (a shrimp dish), and one was not happy (pasta/chicken). We chose this place because we don't like to eat at chains. Maybe we should have hit up an Applebees... read more

There were 11 people in our party and everyone was happy with their dinner. The prime rib was seasoned perfectly and several sizes were offered. The lobster tail and 3 different haddock preparations were also excellent! They have prime rib and batter fried fish on the menu every night along with the salad bar. They have chicken, haddock and artichoke... More

We (husband and wife) arrived at the restaurant about Noon time on Sunday, 6/14/15. We were in town to scope out the area for a decent eatery when we attend a concert in August at the (very) nearby GMAC. The exterior of the restaurant was disappointing, to say the least. But we hoped for a better interior and we certainly... More

We came to Schooner's with a restaurant.com coupon in hand and set it on the table. After we ordered our waitress told us that the coupon would not be honored because of a dispute between the restaurant and restaurant.com ... apparently there was only to be $5 coupons, which set me back a bit given the prices of the entrees.... While in Canadaigua, we had a nice dinner at Schooner. This is not a fancy place, and it was not crowded in January, but I expect it is hopping in the summer. Serviecable decor -- again, nothing fancy. The dinner came with a salad bar, which had crisp lettuce and nice veggies. We happen to have been located right next... More

My husband and I were planning to stop at several places in Canandaigua on a Friday night. We were going to grab a good sandwich at a Bistro but it was closed. I suggested we try Schooners. It was about 5:30 and the place was filling up. We were able to be seated right away. The atmosphere isn't anything special... More

My wife and I have eaten here in the past. There were six of us at our table. The ladies had haddock and chicken French while the men had prime rib........not much prime about it!!! I specifically asked the waitress to find out if there was rare and if not I would order something else.By the way our waitress was wonderful! When... More

This is my second visit in years to the restaurant. We wanted something nice and cozy and we got it. From the moment we walked and were seated the staff were excellent. The buffet was incredible. Not a lot of fancy dishes. Traditional items like you would prepare at home but better and no mess to clean up. I cannot... More
