We took my sister & niece out to eat..we had Prime Rib, Rack of Lamb, Chicken Florentine & Veal Florentine entrees..shared Crab Cakes and Peanut Butter Pie plus Heron Hill Dry Reisling. Fabulous meal at the new Nolan's location... We had been to former location w/lake view...always friendly staff & quality food.

We ate here expecting to sit outside with a view of the lake -- well, it was packed even on a Monday night, and the outside area had barely a view of the lake at all, so we took the first table we could get (which was inside). I had the filet mignon, which was nicely done (medium rare) and... More

They moved just down the street, but they redid an old Kentucky Fried Chicken and you would never know. they did a great job. The view isn't as nice as it was in the old place but the food and service was wonderful. Good restaurant to have in Rochester. I think the porch is a little hot, but it was... More

Because of various property considerations, Nolan's needed to move from its location overlooking Canandaigua Lake to a building that formerly housed a Kentucky Fried Chicken. Although we had always loved the food at Nolan's, we were hesitant to go to the new location because no other restauranteurs had been able to rid it of its chain fried chicken ambiance. Wow!... More

First I must say that when following trip advisor it brought us to a closed, boarded up building...We looked for another place to eat when we passed Nolan's, so we hurried and turned around. They told us they moved about 6 months ago. We were seated and promptly waited on, the waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and specials,... More

Ate on a busy Thursday night in August after several local recommendations. After a shirt wait we were seated in a very peasant heated outdoor area. Staff were friendly and efficient. They also maintain a gluten-free menu which we were happy about. Ordered scallops, garlic bread and soup for appetizers all of which were great (though 3 scallops was a... More

I enjoyed lunch with friends on the outdoor dining area on a pleasant afternoon. Service was excellent, nice choices on the lunch menu, something for everyone but I chose a shrimp caesar wrap with potato salad - very fresh ingredients and very tasty. I felt the price was reasonable and we will go again. (our group meets every month.)

Pros: Seated fast, dishes are cleared quickly, food comes out quickly, steak was juicy. Cons: There is no view of the lake as the name might imply, waitress was confused about the specials, gave me the wrong salad dressing and forgot steak sauce, lobster came out not only cold but undercooked, I also question the origin and freshness of the... I was glad I gave Nolan's a try. We didn't want a pricey meal, but Nolans has a great selection at all price points with something for everyone. The calamari was particularly good. Service was impeccable, and the atmosphere comfortable.
