WE ate outside on the deck. The view of the lake was beautiful and it was a warm sunny evening . The service was good. I had the bass and was disappointed it was rather dry and not very tasty. I had the meat and cheese plate which was very nice but would have been beter with some fruit. My... More

Used to really enjoy special meals here. Not so great now. Inconsistent. Sunday brunch had few choices, and boring ones at that.

We were driving through and wanted a nice lunch outdoors with a view. My husband found this using Google Maps and we were very happy with it. I had the beet salad which was really amazing, especially the cherries. We both had the duck which was perfect. The service was very good and the atmosphere was very relaxing.

When visiting Canandaigua,my husband and I have always enjoyed dining at the Upstairs Bistro at the NYS Wine and Culinary Center, until today. We approached the hostess upon arrival and gave her our name, as we had made a reservation. Evidently another family, also with a reservation, was waiting to be seated so the hostess just said "follow me". We... More

We did a wine tasting and found the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. I wish we lived closer because the classes that they offer on food and wine looked great! This venue is worth a trip back to the area!

We had a late lunch at the Upstairs Bistro while visiting the Finger Lakes region. We ordered the local meat & cheese board, spatzle, snow peas and the pork belly sandwich with a couple glasses of wine. The food was very delicious and the waiter friendly and helpful. We really like the fact that the restaurant mainly uses locally sourced... More

We were a group of four and we had the opportunity to try different dishes. All were excellent, but the locally raised pork chop with homemade barbecue sauce was truly outstanding. Local wines and beers and a beautiful outdoor setting on the back deck also made our evening memorable. This is worth a visit.

Super convenient. Also they have bottles as well as chilled beer to go. There is a bistro upstairs which we did not try.

Stopped for an outdoor dinner with my hubby. Had a delicious beet salad with candied walnuts, he had a burger. We really enjoyed the melon and berry chilled soup - bursting with all the flavors of summer!
