The Cooperage Inn takes great pride in serving the freshest fish, meats and local produce available. Sauces are expertly prepared on premise by our chefs. The name "Cooperage Inn" comes from the craft of coopering, which goes back a few centuries, when it was the major method of packaging. We are located in the Long Island Wine region. Wine makers have always relied on the skills of the Village Cooper to store and age their wines.

My son, daughter in law and I spent a couple of nights on Long Island. The Cooperage Inn was one of the restaurants that was recommended by our hotel. I should add that my daughter in law is coeliac and any hint of gluten in her diet makes her extremely ill. Anyway, our first visit to The Cooperage Inn was... More

This is still a good restaurant, but it used to be a really good restaurant. It has gotten way bigger than it should have. Expansion has ruined the quality of the food preparation and the wait staff. When things get too big, something has to give. On this visit to the Cooperage, the waitress was so bad that it took... More

The property is gorgeous with a great country atmosphere. All the food at dinner is absolutely amazing, from the pasta to the seafood. The crème brûlée and bread pudding at dessert were delicious! The service was a bit slow, but perfectly adequate. They do get extremely busy, especially on weekends, so plan for that.

Use to live on LI, for many yrs. but never came across this Gem! Have early dinner there yesterday[4-26] w/3 other people and all of us were thoroughly delighted. I had the seafood brouse, over pasta,w/scallops,shrimp, mussels and lots of grilled veggies in a lite cream sauce, and baked clams as appetizer and both were cooked to perfection. Wife had glazed... I had been here before, a while ago during brunch & enjoyed it. This time was with a big group and I have to say my food was good but not every dish was worth what we paid. And the service was very slow.

Went for an early dinner with a friend on a weeknight. They had a prix fixe menu with many choices. Waitress was delightful. Food was amazing! Delicious salad with apples, mandarin oranges, almonds and raisins, chicken pot pie and vanilla ice cream. I will definitely be going back. They have a beer garden and have live entertainment on weekends. Have... More

My husband and I were here for Valentine's Day. Since it fell on a Saturday this year, we decided to go for lunch. Cooperage Inn is a very nice place...a little on the tacky side with so many decorations, floral arrangements, etc. The food was good. That's it. Good. I was expecting so much better. We may go back at... More

The service and the food is classy. Price is reasonable. Plenty of good choices and they have a good price fix menu.

Great food at brunch. Dinner is average. Service could be much better. The atmosphere is country and pleasant.
