We ate at 1906, it was fine. No major complaints, but I don't think it's worth the prices they charge. The shrimp cocktail tasted like it just came out of a frozen bag...it was damp, small, and not fresh. It was nothing special, could do better at home on my own. The steaks were tasty and pretty good... not bad,... More

Had dinner at this restaurant and it was my 2nd time back in the area so we decided to eat there once again. Sorry to say this, but it is still not good and very overpriced for dinner. I would not even consider the service FINE DINING" because it is far from it. It tries to be FD, but take... More

The steaks were excellent, and were in a very nice old fashioned style place. We were with little kids, and didn't feel out of place. Very satisfied with everything we had.

Nice restaurant in the middle of a small town. Food is good, but don't expect a big city fine dining feel. It is comfortable with good food. You can get a good meal with your family and friends and have good conversation. Worth the try.

We went there with our cousins. The booth for 4 is small and the wood benches without pillows or cushions are terribly uncomfortable! The food was between fair to excellent. Tuna fish was too dry, i.d. overcooked. The mussels were tasty but drowned in the liquid. Mozzarella/tomato salad was tiny. Filet mignon was excellent so were the rosemary rack of... More

The 1906 has high quality fare and the chef really knows how to prepare FISH. However, it's a small place, and a bit pricey for the portion sizes served.

Something that is not easy to come by. Even better, this place is OPEN YEAR ROUND. That's very hard to find in Sullivan County, and frustrating for those of us here more often than just summer. Solid steaks, good, friendly service, strong drinks. Menu could maybe stand to be broadened somewhat. Some of the negative reviews (all terribly misspelled) here... More

For the area it is exspensive for the locals. Like my husband and I cannot afford to eat there. Byut we have a lot of out of towners that enjoy a higher priced atmosphere. This is for them.

The ambience and charm of the historic building is the first thing you see when you enter this restaurant, one of the best in the area. A frequent visitor over the years - I have a timeshare at the nearby Villa Roma Resort - I try to eat here once or twice during the year. I am never disappointed. From... More

Average food, average cooking ability, high prices. Owner is the Chef. The hired help need some training from someone who knows how to trane. The portions of food will leave you hungry upon leaving. Expensive cocktails, expensive beer. Not impressed. Will not go back.
