Fantastic!

Three of us were craving Greek food for dinner one night. My brother-in-law suggested this place. None of us had been there before (except in its previous life as an Italian restaurant). Came here on a recomondation. The Manager is a great guy who is truely conserned about making his customers happy. Started with an appetiser special, grill octopus in an onion tomatoes sauce. Wonderful! The fish of the day, Branzino, came whole or fillet over sautee'd spinach which I had. The baby lamb chops were robust and succulent. There were 4... More

Been to Elia Taverna several times. The room is cozy and welcoming. Staff anticipates your needs and will make menu-suggestions if asked. The BEST stuffed grape leaves I have ever eaten. We ate tapas-style and ordered all appetizers (no main entrees)for the 4 of us, this way we got to experience a variety of dishes. The portions are large and... More

This small unassuming restaurant makes no apologies for their laid back, easy going attitude. They truly care about their biz, like I have never seen. Adan, the general manager greets everyone, as he travels from table to table, to make sure that service and food are of the highest priority. Michael (Owner) is in the kitchen cooking up his grandmother's... More

Food is a little different, complex, and delicious! The meal starts with the best pita bread drizzled with a little olive oil, plus a dish of olives ... Couldn't get enough of this! We didn't get too adventurous ... Started with falafel and spanakopita and we both had the pasticchio for our entrees. (There were so many appealing things on... More

Elia Taverna is one of the best Greek restaurants in the Metropolitan area. The only issue is handling reservations and the clientele flow. We had that issue and waited a half hour even with our reservation. The manager made it up to us with a good will gesture. Not only was the food excellent but the service was attentive and... More

Elia Taverna is a wonderful place to eat for many reasons. The chef is a genius. His Greek food reflects the life lessons he learned from his mother and grandmother back in Greece. You have never had stuffed grape leaves like his - warm, totally homemade. And don't leave without having his famous lemon roasted potatoes. Everything here is delicious.... More

This place is a gem...for the food! The food is to die for. Authentic Greek cuisine. You can see the owner there on a daily basis answering the phone and involved in every aspect of the restaurant. It is blows any other Greek place around out of the water. I have had a significant amount of bad service as restaurants... More
