New York Italian

First time we've visited Arthur Ave area and chose this place cue to good reviews. It was mother's day at late lunch and, although the restaurant was busy, we were seated without a problem. The staff was pleasant in that New York kind of way. I am not sure if they ever have a lunch menu but it was... read more

I recently moved to the area and a few coworkers recommended Arthur Ave. for good Italian food, so my boyfriend and I decided on Tra Di Noi after reading the stellar reviews on Trip Advisor and various other websites. We made a reservation for 7:30 p.m. Saturday night. We showed up about an hour early and were promptly seated. The... More

Loved loved loved this place! It's exactly what we wanted in visiting the Arthur Avenue area. Off the high traffic area of Arthur Avenue. Small, friendly and the food is delicious! The lasagna is perfect. Penne and meatballs are great too. Make reservations because everyone that comes on a Saturday and Sunday are regulars. Can't wait to come back.

We took a cab from 92nd street manhattan because we heard that this restaurant was good. best fried calamari I have ever had - my friends agree! I had the snapper for dinner and it was incredible. Great Tiramisu (sp?) Will definitely go there again next time we are in Manhattan - it was worth the trip!!!

Yes there was a wait, might I say it was worth it. I did not have a reservation and the hostess tried her vest best to accommodate us. We dinned on the calamari & clams oreganate as appetizers then the fettuccine al alfredo & scalloppine e limone. The portions for the entrees were small but sufficient. Everything was delicious and... More

Nothing about Tra di Noi is pretentious or tries to be more than it is. The dishes are classic Italian, simple, but molto delicioso. Our party of five had the ravioli w/meat balls special, chicken cacciatore and veal scalloppine. All cooked perfectly and very satisfying. We arrived a little after 6 on a Sunday evening and the place was full.... More

Went here Saturday night with a large group. We had reservations at 7:30. Seated 7:45 or so. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Small restaurant. Red & white checkered tablecloths.....old school. Wine only, no bar. Long list of specials plus a menu with their standard dishes. Had cold and hot antipasto, fried calamari to start. Then main courses....veal with mushrooms,... More

So this is what my dtr and son-in-lawfrom Washington DC said after eating here. We picked us our other daughter from the airport coming in from Chicago and wanted them to have the best meal possble. What a wonderful place, warm, inviting, greeted by the owner and great service. The chichen parm has the most tender chicken we have ever... More

We went for an early dinner, but probably best to have a reservation after 5:30. We were greeted with a warm, friendly smile and hung our coats on the coat rack by the door. Don't be put off by the red and white checked tablecloths, the they do not speak of the warm ambiance of the place. Oh my, the... More
