Consistently Enjoyable

We visit Dominick's generally once a month. Accompanied by a bottle of house red wine, our favorite entrée is the Chicken Scarpariello. The baked stuffed clams are among the best on this planet and could be a meal by themselves. Be sure to request a menu and be asked whether you came to read or... read more

We used to frequent this restaurant when we lived in NY. We loved the food here. The pasta was fresh and the daily menu offering always had something for everyone. It changed. A definite tourist trap. We waited at the entrance for a table for 2 for about 15 minutes. The bar tender/manager told everyone walking in "10 minutes". Finally,... More

Hadn't been to Dominick's in years and should have stayed away but memories fade over time. Had dinner recently and the food was absolutely awful. The same oversized portions of inedible food. The atmosphere is the same as ever with large communal tables and bright lights. No menus and no written bill. But it was the food that made this... More

Dominick's in Bronx is the ultimate Italian dining experience. Very laid back, relaxing atmosphere. Everyone's courteous right from the owner to the busboy. Food was great. We ordered eggplant parm, brocolli rabe, steak, flounder. they were all good. The house wine was great too.

I truly don't understand all the rave reviews. We were 4 adults, one child. We ordered family style chicken scarpiello and a family style pasta which they agreed to split into two orders: 1/2 linguini with clam sauce, and 1/2 penne vodka, plus a side of broccoli rabe, and a small penne marinara for my niece. The pasta dishes were... More

Dominick's is SO popular they don't take reservations - yup - Michael Bloomberg (past Mayor ) + guests waited in line like everyone else. In NYC we call THAT Democracy. OK- you sit next... More

This is a wonderful place. It is not your normal Italian Restaurant. The food is outstanding, the service is fast and yet polite, the atmosphere is real Italian. Their specials are to die for. Most of all it is truly a wonderful experience.

This is a different experience that we LOVE in our family for my whole life! But it's probably better to understand what you are in for before you take this journey (I can understand how it would be unpleasantly surprising if you did not!;). There is no menu, no itemized bill, it's family style with HUGE portions, but it's a... More

Awesome meal and worth the wait! No menus , waiters tells you what's good - get the baked clams and the antipasto . Dip the crusty bread into the clam sauce - delish. Any pasta is amazing , stuffed peppers melt in your mouth and fish was cooked perfectly . Best to eat family style so everyone gets a taste.... More

What a delightful time we had over Thanksgiving week end with friends. I had never been to the Bronx and love Italian food so this was a "no brainer" for our hosts. Their "stuffed artichoke" was a new item for me and wow was it good. The lasagna was one of the best. This restaurant is a fooler as it... More
