I just went there for the first time. My family kept on telling me that they make the best fried calamaries so we went there for dinner. We arrived there a 5.40pm for dinner and had to wait 1 hour and a half to be seated. Then the service was very slow. Between the salad and the main dish we... More

I have been to Dominic's about 10 times and every time the food was great. Good selection, good preparation and good service. Being of Italian decent, it reminded of my home town in New Jersey.

My wife is of Italian descent so we came up to the Bronx to find a 'genuine' Italian restaurant. We found it in Arthur Ave in the form of Dominicks. This is what we imagine Little Italy looked like 60 years ago. Nothing fancy here. Just a simple layout with long tables and waiters with attitude. We ordered from the... More

I have to admit I haven't been here in a while, but friends of mine have and the place never changes. If you're looking for a private table in a quiet restaurant, you'd be disappointed. But if you're looking for good food- and plenty of it- at reasonable (for NYC anyway) prices this is the place to go. It's family... More

This was my first time here, and I found the seating arrangements were unusual. Patrons are seated at long tables, right next to strangers. Not the sort of place to have an intimate dinner for two. The food was good. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. But all in all, not my favorite way to dine,

After a beautiful day at the botanical gardens we had dinner at Dominicks. There were three of us for dinner so we ordered two entrees and one veg dish. The chicken Marsala was very tender and the Zitta bolanese was divine. We also had broccoli rabe which tasted great.

Food just ok. Some dishes better than others. Wait was longer than we would have liked. Had to sit next to strangers - not great.

If you can get past sitting next to a stranger it's well worth the trip, the food is outstanding great quality and taste. It seems like the magic number is $33 per person, it doesn't matter how much food you order.

After reading so many reviews we decided to give Dominick's a try. I warned my husband that it wouldn't be a traditional place so he was prepared for the lack of menus, family seating and informal ordering. When we arrived there was only 1 other patron in the very small dining room but it filled up quickly. We were greeted... More

Dominicks is a place that you keep going back to for the ultimate in tasty, Italian comfort food. This is a great family-style restaurant -- long tables and large servings. For years upon end the staff stays the same here apart from being supplemented by youthful additions -- always a good sign. The salads -- lettuce, tomatoes, olives and --... More
