We've heard so many great things about this restaurant so we went up to da Bronx to try it out. We were not expecting a two hour wait before being seated. Got there at 6 pm and finally sat down at 8 pm. Restaurant does not take reservations Appetizers of mozzarella and tomato was very good; appetizer of shrimp with... More

Recommended by a friend as terrific, I was a bit wary. You enter a very nice interior with wood tables and decor that mimics an Italian trattoria. We were told we were ordering too much so we cut out a meat dish. We split an appetizer of Northern Italian sausage, broccoli de rabe, and canellini beans. Excellent and different. I... More

Went to Roberto's last weekend. Has been our favorite since my daughter went to Fordham University 10 years ago. Having grown up in the Bronx , we are very familiar with what I call "red gravy" Italian food. Roberto's has a more developed, regional character. Specials are dependent on seasonal food availability. My daughter remarked "this is the best food... More

Four of us enjoyed a lovely and delicious dinner at Roberto’s. For antipasti we enjoyed the grilled calamari and shrimp and baked eggplant and zucchini. For dinner I had the special veal Ossobuco, other at the table also had the specials – a highly recommended course of action for anyone visiting. We managed to save room for dessert and drinks... Quality and presentation of the food is very good. Service is professional and very accommodating. With all the restaurants in this area , I prefer this one. I would like to see prices of specials listed on the white board, and I list of the house wines with names and prices. I have eaten in Zero Otto Nove in Bronx,... More

There are many Italian restaurants in the Bronx, especially in the area of Arthur Avenue. Roberto's not only serves fresh, delicious familiar Italian food but it sprinkles its menu and specials for the day with exciting regional specialties. I treated myself to a Sicilian dish, Pasta con Sarde. Fresh sardines, wild fennel, pignola nuts, anchovies, breadcrumbs, saffron and currants over... More

We have known Roberto Paciullo for 20 years. When the restaurant was in another location in Crescent Avenue, before moving to the current location and opening the Zero Otto Nove restaurants in Bronx and Manhattan. We were back ten days ago before going to the airport to pickup a relative. We had Gamberi y Fagioli for appetizer, Fettuccine Alfredo with... More

This place is tough to get in to, only takes cash, and is expensive. That said it is totally worth the trip up to Arthur Avenue. The food is fantastic. It gets loud and the service can be hit or miss sometimes but I've eaten here many times and the food is outstanding. Everything I have ever had here was... More
