Consistently great

What a great dinner we had yet again Go early if you don't want to wait but if you do have to wait it is worth it. Fresh appetizers. I had grilled calamari. The pasta was home made. Sauces were delicious. Just a true solid italian meal. It's not cheap but it's worth it

The room is really welcoming. Wooden tables and nice lighting. Service was attentive, but not intrusive. Meals were good. My husband had the chicken with Marsala, prosciutto and mozzarella cheese. Excellent. I had the special goat cheese ravioli with a sage butter. Sauce was barely there, and it needed it for flavor. The ravioli themselves were good, but just lacked... More

This is wonderful Italian food. Old style as you'd expect but meticulously prepared. Great tastes. Impressive wine list. Open on a Monday night if you want a quieter feel. Only downside for a visitor is the 'arthur avenue' website massively underestimates the walk time from the subway. Closer to 25 than 16 mins. And not a particularly pleasant walk at... More

I've eaten here more than five times. Each time with different people. Each time we created high expectations. Each time they were met or exceeded. This is old world, no reservations, home style food where you should order the specials the waiter suggests. You will encounter a wait. You will hear the cheesy "Happy Birthday" song. It is expensive. It... More

This restaurant is located minutes away from the NY Botanical Garden (and Bronx Zoo) where we had spent the afternoon with kids and gran-kids. We were a party of six. My wife and I, we were invited by our son in law who chose to surprise us with an assortment of appetizers and entrées, which explains why I won't be... More

Our favorite Italian restaurant in the Bronx. Once discovered( a block off Arthur Avenue) we've never returned to Dominick's (our former favorite), Mario's, Pasquale's. Crowded with no reservations accepted & long standing room only waits for a table this is still the best choice for great Italian meals. The veal, chicken pastas etc. are all prepared perfectly & served pretty... More

On the recommendation of regulars, we stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for an early dinner. They were able to seat us quickly and we had a great server who answered all our menu questions. The specials of the evening looked terrific and several of our party opted for a mortadella ravioli which was exquisite. The pasta were all fresh... More

My wife and I took a short ride to Robert'o Restaurant in the Belmont Section of the Bronx. We usually go there for the freshly shucked clams prepared by the fish stores right off the sidewalk but decided to save our appetites for Roberto's. This very small but warmly decorated restaurant has a large, attentive staff. The crowd at lunch... More

This is Roberto's sister property. It's not a pizzeria it's a culinary experience for the casual epicurean. This is the best and ONLY place to eat especially on Sundays when Roberto's is closed-089 keeps the party in your mouth going! I can't rave enough about how amazingly great and fresh the foods are here. The flavors combinations are supremely innovative.... More

Roberto’s is a great place to get Italian food in the Bronx! It has a small bar area at the entrance, & nice open dining area (including bigger tables set in the corners) for larger parties. The exposed brick along with arches in the ceiling give this restaurant a warm feel to it that is very inviting. Polite waiters are... More
