Very good southern Italian, excellent service and wines

We decided to try Roberto's during a visit to Arthur Avenue. We really enjoyed lunch and were looked after very well. Five of us ordered three pasta dishes to split and two mains and enjoyed every bit. Highly recommend the pasta with peas and guanciale and the pasta with octopus fav beans and clams... read more

I've lived on Italian food for 60 years and eat out at Manhattan's top rated places regularly. None of them match this Arthur Avenue classic. Roberto is the genuine article and cares about his food, customers, and legacy. He succeeds on all counts. The regular menu is large and varied and the list of daily specials is always extensive. The... More

Almost all the wait staff, except the bartender, is new because the others were transferred to the new Roberto and 089 restaurants. But service did not miss a beat. The food continues to be superb. I had to choose between their delicious grilled meat entrée and soft shell crabs. I haven't had them yet this season so opted for it.... More

WOW, Roberto's was fabulous. We were a party of 6 on a Monday night, and it was packed. You must have a reservation, which we did ,days in advance. The bar was friendly and cozy while we waited and he poured a good drink. They have a board of specials that was varied and sounded excellent. We ordered appetizers, specials, and some off the regular... More

I've been here on multiple occasions with friends. There is usually a long wait and cramped seating. The staff is above average but a bit robotic. We had a burrata app and a decent salad. The branzino and veal were just ok, nothing spectacular. The big issue I have here is that the meal costs about twice what it is... More

I love going out to eat after cooking and taking care of my customers. Someone recommended Roberto's. Walked into restaurant very nice and good service. This is where I went wrong I ordered the lemon chicken bad choice on my part because Roberto's is known for the fresh pasta. When you go order the pasta and dessert. No chicken. Chicken... More

Can't go wrong. Truly a great restaurant on all counts. Superb service, good ambiance, can't say enough about the food, everything we had was great. Large wine selection.

Overall, it is expensive for Italian. My daughter had the pasta with truffles and grated cheese, finished at the table. It was the star entrée. For appetizer, recommend the homemade buttermilk mozzarella with arugula finished with a very fine balsamic. The other two entrees had potential but fell short. Pasta with cauliflower sounded great as described, more breadcrumbs than cauliflower,... More

Nice Italian atmosphere. Food is good, good choice of wine list. Average prices. In the middle of Little Italy Bronx.
