The stage Deli may be gone, as are so many legendary New York Jewish delis, but all is not lost - there is still The Bronx! Admittedly, Riverdale is a pretty classy enclave and for those of you who have experienced some other parts of the Bronx, let's just say Riverdale a neighborhood all it's own - safe and clean... Snells great when you walk in. Staff is friendly and efficient. You get a plate of pickles (though I miss the pickled tomatoes they used to have). Sandwiches are generous but manageable with meat thinly sliced for best taste. Several times I have taken half home, but they are not the 6" inch high monsters you sometimes see which I... More

A friend and I went; he ordered a corned beef Reuben, and I ordered pastrami on rye. Finding good, old-time pastrami is a challenge in this day and age. When I see it I want to order it. We shared and got to taste two traditional deli sandwiches. They start you out with some cole slaw and a small plate... More

Low key atmosphere with great food. They start you off with complimenary pickles (delicious!) and coleslaw. The sandwiches are delicious -- in fact everything there is delicious. The servers are nice and upbeat, and they are very tolerant of children. Often they'll ask the parents if they can give the child a cookie when the meal is wrapping up. It's... More

this is probably the only real Jewish deli in the area. that being said it does not hold a candle to some of the ones in Manhattan such as Katz's or The Carnegie. stick with the soups, the hotdogs and avoid the tuna and chicken salad platters. they do not use any mayonnaise in the salads but a substitute and... This is a good, solid kosher deli in the heart of Riverdale. I notice that both Jews and plenty of non-Jews patronize here. Seating is comfortable (lots of booths) and roomy. Easy take out options can be ordered up front. Menu is varied. Excellent cole slaw and pickles. Grab a Dr. Brown's soda and enjoy with your delicious matza ball... More

Being from Boston area, we don't have too many classic deli's like NYC, Liebmans fit the bill for us. Stopped in for lunch and were met with quick attentive service. The corned beef was good along with the fresh coleslaw and plenty of pickles. My wife and daughter shared a fresh carved turkey sandwich and fries. The atmosphere with the... More

Food is very good and the portions are generous. They make you feel like you are family when you go in there. The menu is extensive and we can't wait to go back and try more.
