Lives up to Arthur Avenue

If it's your first time, you'll walk in and wonder what all the hype is about-until your party is taken back to the dining room. That's were the experience begins. Every time I get to Arthur Ave, 089 is on my list of things to do. But be bold, try something you wouldn't ordinarily have-like the... read more

Great decor. Excellent food. I had the margherita pizza and chicken scarpariello. The service was attentive but unhurried.

After a visit to the orchid show at the nearby NY Botanical Garden, my friend and I headed straight to Arthur Avenue for lunch and shopping. More often than not we go to the excellent Roberto's, but this time we changed it up with a visit to Zero Otte Nove. I started with a mixed green salad with pears and... More

Had a wonderful experience here. Great to come here after visiting the Bronx Zoo or the Botanical Gardens. Food was excellent - the pizza crisp and hot topped with fresh mozzarella, the special pasta excellent, the eggplant appetizer and arugula salad also very enjoyable The service was superb. When we told our waiter we were vegetarian he told us what... More

We are from San Antonio and were visiting Manhattan. Wanted to see Arthur Avenue so there we were, wandering around, looking at the groceries, pasta shops and cigar stores. Coming out of one of those cigar stores we ran into three gentlemen who reminded us of characters from The Sopranos. They were standing outside, smoking cigars and eating fresh oysters... More

We have dined at Zero so many times over the years I cannot count them. Our last two visits were very disappointing. The most recent visit, the Prosecco was flat, the special appetizer was not what the waiter described and the fava beans were a mushy mess. The eggplant parm although tasty was cold. Our pizza was burnt on the... More

Been going to Zero Otto Nove on average 3 times per year since it opened. The food and service have always been well above average. Except for the last few times. Our last visit was for lunch 1/10/15. We were seated almost 15 minutes before a server came to the table. Drink orders were taken and not quite delivered. One... More

Wanted to get some good Italian food before the Pinstripe Bowl so figured on Arthur Avenue and walked into Zero Otto Nove. Got there just in time as waiting area filled up after we arrived, waited about 10 minutes for a table. Had the Insalata Caprino e Pera which was very good as where the Calamari. My son ordered the... More

We dined early dinner for celebrating new year 2015. 3 of us ordered as follows: Pizza Diavola Mussel with tomato and Italian herb sauce Today's special: combinations of grilled meats and sautéed potatoes and vegetables. We liked their pizza best. But the other 3 dishes were below expectations. First off, tomato sauce of mussel dish was way too salty. For... More

We were visiting Arthur Ave and we choice this restaurant by chance. It was well worth it. The bread and olive oil was like we have had in Italy. There was eleven of us and we ordered two antipastos. The meats and cheese were top quality. Seven of us ordered pizza. Those with red sauce were treated to authentic sauce... More
